100% - “Yeah, hi ‘lads’ - no, I’m not telling you the team news. Nah, afraid I’m still not commenting on potential transfers. Christine is still doing pigs in blankets, yeah. Yeah, I did used to play football a bit. Cheers. See you next week. Merry Christmas.” *Eye Roll*
Absolutely, players catching it now in other teams could miss 2 or 3 games with the very quick 4 games in 10 days. Cardiff announced an outbreak yesterday too.
I do wonder what we could get out of him. I’d love to hear Lampard talk more about tactics and how he sees the game generally but would he feel he’s giving things away?
I think a good template would be: how do you see the opposition? What threats do they pose? What sort of football do they play? Gives a lot of latitude for him to answer in an interesting way and we’ve had the odd but like when Rob claimed Charlton I think would come here and sit back and Lampard was like “no they press you high”. Maybe focus on the last game more if he’s not likely to give much away for the upcoming one
Same as with players and managers I’d like to hear more about their game what they’re working on improving, how they see their style of play.
The people watching are football nerds. Play into that. They seem to be aiming for human interest stuff for a general audience and no one normal is watching the clubs YouTube.

The interview he did with Sky (I think?) last season was genuinely interesting. When he was speaking about our midfield players in particular and how he was teaching them about timing of when to come into the box. Especially as what they'd learned then was producing goals in games.
CWR - "Yeah football is cool and all that, but what about Rudoni's shoes?"
