On a serious note though, never seen Simms so confident and happy, long may it continue

I was going to say exactly the same. He looked like he was buzzing. Great to see. Couldn't help but smile with him.

Well done Ellis!!!!
great to see him smile, seems out of his comfort zone when in the limelight. But he has been playing consistently well lately, tonight he was immense.

He's just so likeable isn't he , you can tell he's shy and introverted but talks so well.
Hope he builds on tonight and makes the 9 shirt his

I love Ellis Simms even more because of how much he sounds like Waj from Four Lions. Think he's ditched the CV5, though so I don't see him around. Sad.

Kudos to Rob for that interview with Ellis - so good to see him confident and it helps massively when the media and the fans are in your corner. Mega performance, couldn’t have come from a nicer bloke.

It sort of feels now he is has lost the imposter syndrome which has blighted him . Off the ball was amazing and caused their defence issues - held up where he could - chased - he has always been a great player - i hope he goes on to great things in the future.

One of his best games for Cov. Both Simms and Haji get a little grief from time to time but when they pull out individual performances they are amazing.

One line in the Ellis interview

"We had to dig deep for Frank "

Speaks volumes

Rob - is that the best goal you’ve ever scored?
Ellis - one of them

absolute genius

Regardless of any criticism I’ve sent his way, I think Ellis seems like a great lad and Frank touching upon how his humility makes him really endearing is very true. He seems a little more confident / comfortable now and I hope it stays that way.

He scored a cracker for Everton, which I think was quite similar to last night's. And 1 or 2 special ones in the SPL.

His goal last night reminded me a little of his goal away Vs Huddersfield, similar sort of finish, opening his body up and using the inside of his foot to curl it into the top corner, albeit the angle was a lot tighter Vs Huddersfield.
