Good watch this - the way Lampard talks about the application and humility of the players makes all the talk of the squad being full of wronguns look very silly now.

I must be crap at reading between the lines. Every squad has its ups and downs. Nothing worth suggesting there are any wronguns in the squad.

Times a great healer with the whole Dublin thing really we would of been relegated way before when we did if it wasn't for him.

The 97/98 season Huckerby up front and him winning the golden boot and playing for England was incredible really looking back.

He's a Judas prick but he's also a club legend

Dublin going to Villa never bothered me and still doesn't. However, travelling all the way down to Luton for a midweek game, only to learn he refused to play still does. Lost all respect for him from that moment.

Dublin was different class for us.

The way he'd swivel on the spot and splay switched passes was brilliant.

I'd happily listen to Lampard all day.
Still think his managerial career prior to us was nothing to write home about but don't care.
Only care about what he's doing here. And so far so good.

Nice watch. FL seems very level-headed and doesn't want to get carried away and is ever so conscious of keeping things going the way they are. Really great the way the players are responding to him. He's learned from past mistakes and is really intent on building on the great work done so far. Robins had a great run and after getting rid of Adi, he (and his new asst coaches) just seemed to have lost that connection with the players this season.

Elite mentality and approach can tell he played under people like Mourinho the next game is all that matters.

Players like Thomas are picking this up as well as you can see from his interview the other day. "You've won 9 out of the last 10 where can this momentum take you?" "To Tuesday"

I can remember travelling to Luton, it was midweek, cup tie. We heard about it on the terracing and there was a lot of anger. I'm almost positive it was Kenilworth Road.

Yep lost 2.0 to Luton, horrible performance. He refused to play (allegedly). Horrible drive home - think sacked off college next day

Yes, I remember a shit game and a lot of anger over Dublin, which I understand to this day. No player should refuse to play.

They dress it up a little more nowadays though, don't they? "Head's not in the right place", etc.

You must have been!

Dublin wins his £30,000 battle

Dion Dublin has won his battle with his former club Coventry after they fined him £30,000 for allegedly going on strike during his transfer dispute with them.

he was my favourite player growing up, i do wonder how the classic centre forwards from the 90s would stack up in their prime in the modern game
