Neither played in the same Cov team, Fox wasn't the greatest defender but his dead ball delivery was a joy to watch free kick against Swansea to save a point was the highlight for me. shame his last contribution for Cov was being sent off against Watford.

As for Jack Cork he played for us 20 times but can't remember a telling contribution (a bit like David Bell for the past 3 years). They both have moved around a fair few clubs.

fox has scored 1 goal since he left us.

Jack Cork was actually a very good player for us, always kept us ticking over in the middle by doing the simple things very well - rarely made many mistakes a game. Don't forget also he was playing for us at a time when Clingan was out injured and Gunnarsson was in terrible form, he would have been a cracking permanent signing.

I agree. He's definatley not in the same standard of player as Bell!

I liked Fox too. Always looked comfortable, but like most Left backs we've had in recent years, was much better going forward than he was defending. I would say he was better defensivly than what we have now in Hussey though! We do definately miss his dead ball play! Much better than Sammy IMO!

I totally agree buddy. Bell is yards ahead of a player like Cork, glad we are on a similar wavelength.

Fox would be absolutely brilliant for us in this diamond formation, west with the full backs providing all our width. In fact he quote often plays left midfield for saints.

I love how one of the facts is Fox has scored one goal since he left us, as if that makes him shit!!! He's a left back!! I also love the other comment "actions speak louder than words". Because you want impact players. Yet Cork isn't an impact player, he's the player in the middle that does the shit jobs. But he does them well. But because you don't notice him he's shit? Alright!!

Fox was a great player for us was gutted when he left, remember his free kick away at qpr ran the whole length of the pitch to celerbrate with the city fans

The fact Fox hasn't scored many since he left was not a criticism just an observation, had he stayed with us would have scored loads. Worried he might score a free kick for them today. I won't be booing him today

Cork probably underestimated his contribution looks like he has the attributes to be a good footballer but in my humble opinion weren't too impressed by his performances - underwhelmed, then again Michael McIndoe was in the same team and and his legendry performance probably caught my eye.

Both quality players that we could well do with in our team.

As always, with many of our fans, we fail to recognise the good things that players bring to our team- instead, they get slated for the odd bad mistake, or anonymity on the pitch, because many fans don't recognise the important, but unfashionable, things that have to be done.


Out of the two, I think Cork is the most accomplished, but I would love to have them both playing for us today!
