1948-49. We have a long history of dark blue (Coventry Blue) in our kit history. Please learn the history of the club and the history of our city before getting outraged.

I know it , my Mum and Dad used to go in mid 30’s and me since 60/61, and I have the special with my name on, but don’t really like darker blue, too much like frigging Lesta

Does anyone know why the kit is navy? Seems Zoe’s place have several sky blue logos and the logo outside their Coventry clinic is sky blue? Why would kit devoted to ‘sky blues’ in the community not be sky blue?
I always associate Zoe’s Place with the colour yellow for some reason.

Regardless it truly is an amazing charity and any money they make out of this will go towards making some young children and their families lives just a little easier.

GIMOC says its the same design as the home shirt but navy and a retro badge, so we can rule that out.

Are people actually getting pissy about the club fundraising for Zoë's Place? What's the issue, FFS?

Purple kit we had once: Love it, take my money!
Dark blue worn for years: Club's taking the piss.

The OCD/aspergers in me does like the idea of us playing in Coventry blue, but we don’t do we? We play in sky blue. We’d have to change the hashtag to #PUCB and everything. It’s just too much Pete.

On Coventry blue. The medieval nerd in me must say we don’t actually know what shade of Blue it was. Thus the more navy blue could be cov blue or it could be more of a royal blue or even sky blue.

I love the fact we are now the Sky Blues and feel it is part of our identity. But over the years we have had some terrible washed out and insipid shades of Sky Blue.

Tbf my issue with it is the club are going to 'make a donation'

Surely we give the whole lot to both Zoes place and SBITC?

That's a fair point, and one I missed tbh. Think they did this with all the poppy stuff as well and it does seem a bit like taking advantage of goodwill.

While the kit will probably look like this, doubt this is it due to retro badge being noted in the teaser image for the kit
