Former players where are they now ? (1 Viewer)

Was wondring about a few players from 2015 to 2017 and what they did after leaving us. Some of the names popped up and added them. As so you would never remember even played for us.

2015/2016

Reice Charles-Cook - Left in 2017. Now players for Welling United Football Club in National League south

Martin Lorentzson - Played 7 games for us. Moved to Örebro SK. Believe he is now retired

Peter Ramage - played 4 games for us. Went on loan to Orient. Then moved to play for Phoenix Rising FC, Played 35 games then became assistant manager. Currently assistant at Newcastle U23's

Romain Vincelot - Played 35 games for us. Moved to Bradford and played 83 games. Moved to a few other teams are retired last season at Stevenage.

Vladimir Gadzhev - played 16 games for us. Dyed his hair bright blonde. Played 24 games in the Cypriot league then moved to Bulgarian league

Ben Stevenson - played 48 games for us. Sold to Wolves. Went and played in Spain for 15 games. Now at Forest green rovers.

Stephen Hunt - played 5 games for us then retired.

Darius Henderson - played 5 games for us. Fell over on a 1 on 1. Ended his career after 3 games at Eastleigh

Marc-Antoine Fortuné - played 24 games for us and went to southend. Played a few more teams in England. Currently at UR La Louvière in Belgium

2016/2017

Farrend Rawson - on loan from Derby. Played 14 games. Currently at Mansfield.

Kevin Foley - Made 12 appearances. Then played for Billericay town . Currently assistant at Tampa Bay Rowdies

Charles Vernam - played 4 times for us on loan from Derby. Currently players for Bradford.

Michael Folivi - played once for us on loan from Watford. Went on loan to couple of league 1 teams. Now players for colchester.

Chris McCan - Came in o loan from Atlanta United. Played 13 games. Went back to MLS. then to Oldham. Now players for Shamrock rovers.

Last but not least

Yakubu - Was playing at Kayserispor in Turkey. Played 3 games for us. Walked about 100yards in the 3 games. Current age, Somewhere around 38

Another one from 2016 was Jack McBean. Retired from football in 2018. Would only have been about 23.

It was injury I think but he was shite. He scored a few at u23 level which shows exactly why nothing should be read into it

Reminds me of Che Bunce who we brought over from New Zealand during the Micky Adams years. Left without playing a game and saw that he’d become an estate agent back home.

That said, Wiki also says he’s a lawyer, so could be complete bollocks.

Was a foot injury that finished his career. Shame for him. Was one of the weirdest signings we've made in a number of years though (and there's some bloody good competition for that).

Made me think of the us player we had or were linked with - mentioned in a later post, mcbean
A similar thread in a few years may have kasteneer and hillsner on it.

Consider myself reasonably knowledgeable on City as most if us here probably do the amount of time we spend discussing players attributes or lack of them and yet these just a few short years back and I can honestly say I don't remember a couple of them and have never even heard of Charles Vernam!

He was on loan from derby a forward if my memory is correct

I live in Vancouver so have seen him play quite a bit for the Whitecaps now. Surprisingly he holds down a pretty regular spot for them at CB, as far as I know. I say surprisingly because they have actually spent a fair bit of money on their squad recently, so he plays alongside several players worth $2mil +. But that's the MLS all over, a few stars amongst a sea of mediocracy.

Still, he seems to be doing pretty well out here so good on him.

You are correct. We have a terrible record of loanees from Derby - Luke Thomas is about as good as it gets! Although, thinking about it, was James Bailey loaned from Derby? He was good.

I just think about Callum Ball and I get shivers.
