Those doors still wouldn't be owned by the football club, which is what most potential new owners would want isn't it?

People do think it's ok. The CET comments would prove that. Or do you not have the brain capacity to accept that? It's happening because we have a spiteful and hypocritical council. We have owners who know nothing about football. Owners who have no idea about what a club means to it's city and fans. Blindly defend every decision? No. Blindly defend my club against a local authority and franchise rugby club who have no consideration for my club and fellow fans as much as my clubs owners don't.

I see beyond SISU. I see a time where they will no longer be owners but my concern is what will be left of my club? We can't remove SISU, we can't really stop them doing what they want. We as fans and Coventry citizens can be a bit more vocal about the council and Wasps though. Make their life a bit more difficult rather than banging the SISU out drum which helps them destroy the club.

So we can do nothing about SISU.
However we can make life difficult for the Council and Wasps?

So what should we be doing to the Council and Wasps?

It's just bullshit to suggest that people who a portion the majority of the blame on our owners don't go to matches or are not fans.

I don't read the CET comments section. Nick mentioned it on here once so I had a look and it was clearly a handful of idiots just wumming
So haven't wasted my time since

However, you will get people who don't.

Stakeholders of who? When sisu came in, the other parties all wanted the club with the ground didn't they?

Yes, it might mean wasps begin talking about a rental deal or they try harder to let us use their wasps branded training centre.

Are many going to be lining up for that? Maybe they can buy match day revenue for more than the king power stadium sold for like ccfc were offered before?

The "possibility" if somebody buying the stadium is gone for 250 years isn't it? Even less attractive than before isn't it?

The fact that people don't seem fussed that people are fucking the club over to get to sisu is strange isn't it? Especially as they would happily just trot back to London.

Oh please. You're seeing things that aren't there again. Nobody has 'blindly' defended anyone - but I don't see the value in repeating all those past mistakes ad nauseum in the misguided belief that it makes a coherent argument when addressing issues that are current - as though it somehow justifies the actions of those who are clearly seeking to inflict maximum damage on SISU (via CCFC). To take the view that it is justifiable to fuck the club over because of the past actions of the temporary custodians of a 133 old institution is absurd. Fine, if you take the view that the club is getting what it deserves and that you are going to sit back a munch on popcorn while it all comes crashing down then fill your boots.

The SISU are CCFC comment says it all. The fact you cannot differentiate SISU from CCFC is all that needs to be said. But that begs the question, if SISU are CCFC, why the fuck do you still follow them?

It isn't all about you I'm afraid. The comment said 'some people'; and if you read some of the comments on the CT (much moreso than on here) it is hard to argue against that. I am sure you want the team to succeed every bit as much as I do, this isn't black and white, there are a whole range of views on this - but are there people who would begrudge the club success while SISU are in charge? Without question there are.

Exactly, so a new owner still has to come in and sort it. Potentially build one.

What makes people think the council etc would suddenly stop being dicks if it wasn't sisu? As they were before sisu came in anyway..

Yes, the Leicester owners are minted but they paid 17m for the stadium I think, ccfc got quoted 24m for the match day revenue it made.

Why would people pick us?

I don't take the view the club is getting what it deserves the club has not done anything.
The owners are reaping what they sow. I take no pleasure in that because it screws my club over massively.
However I am not shocked, horrified and stunned that it is happening.
I know why it is happening. There is only so long you can play hard ball with people before they go a different route.
I guess our owners always felt there was only one show in town until it was too late.
Now the trust has completely eroded so even if we suddenly say hang on we have changed our minds, we aren't really building our own stadium, academy and training centre, it's too late they have moved on.

So as I asked to another poster what should I be doing to the council and wasps?

There isn't really anything that we can 'do' to them. What would help is if the supporters of this club - and we number tens of thousands, were to at the very least put on a united front and speak as one. While you have people on the CT site (I accept not you personally) positively egging them on - and that is by far the most visible forum to the wider public - they can act pretty much with inpunity.

To be honest I think it is a lost cause anyway. We are a club without a future. A future without SISU? It becomes less likely with every twist of the knife.

BTW, I'm neither shocked nor horrified, just angry (with all of them). CCC could have helped protect the academy. Wasps had 17 sites on their radar. It would not have hurt them and would have sent a message that said that some things transcend the bitterness and lack of trust and are too important to lose. The council would have have lost nothing, because Wasps would have built their training base somewhere else.

And jeopardise the chances of Wasps being successful? Surely said stakeholders should want the best for it's club and fans regardless of owners? The council were screwing this club over long before SISU. I don't understand this if SISU go, everything will be rosy. It won't.

Ahh but they are City fans. They just want the posion that is SISU away from their club. No matter the cost. Short term pain for long term gain. It would be worth dropping to the Conference to rid us of these parasites.

That is what people say. You know like begging the local council not to sell the Ricoh to them as they would mortgage it. Yet applaud Wasps for their business acumen in doing the same thing. It really is incredible.

Could be said that by the same token though, we can't remove Wasps and we can't stop them doing what they want.

It is what it is. We unfortunately need to work with Wasps short term now while we work out a long term future for Coventry City.

I don't buy any of this it's all Sisu's fault. It's also not all the council's fault either.

We have to work with what we have now (not a lot for sure).

There's too much apathy here now and we're all too downtrodden. No meaningful protest against Wasps will ever happen and deep in our hearts we all know that.

If there was to have been it had to have happened way back when this move was all first mooted. Too late now. All we can do is to hope for the Wasps project to fail.

We either need massive investment, the club to gain promotion and put the emphasis on Coventry City as the premier sporting club in this city, or for Wasps to fail.

Certainly isn't going to help if both sides aren't talking to each other. That moves us on absolutely nowhere.

All we can do is to try and get people into those sky blue seats at the Ricoh and get some success out there on the pitch.

The he says, she says, his fault, her fault stuff is all getting very tiresome.

I was impressed that the council stood up for itself when SISU were as the high court judge stated trying to drive the value of ACL down.
It took a lot of balls for the council not to be be bullied and when the council stood up for itself.
That's when asISU should have realised they had pushed too far abd either put in a sensible offer or signed up long term on a tent deal.
Unfortunately the likes of yourself kept encouraging them to keep pushing further and further.
Which was ajaays only going to go one way

Indeed. I fail to see how imploring the council not to sell the stadium to the club, or supporting their stance over Higgs is wanting the club to succeed. How do they square that circle in their heads? But then, these people don't exist we're told. Incredible how naive some people can be.

If we didn't have CCFC fans attending there matches it might send out a message? If people didn't buy the Telegraph it might send out a message? If Wasps are given bad press? If the council are challenged? If CCFC fans attended games and put more money in the budget? You know, not refusing to go because of the owners. I said before I don't buy the whole I have a season ticket I'm a better fan stuff, but refusing to go because of the owners is a bit counter productive. We know SISU are not taking money out. OSB looks and advises us of this and he can't be accused of backing the clubs owners, the opposite if anything.
