It's bound to if had an effect. It's all about marginal gains, 1-2% here and there can make a big difference, this is one of the reasons for british and team sky's success.

You could argue TM's vision of more club memorabilia at the training ground is seeking to bring in a marginal gain.
So in the same instance, there are things that have marginal negative effects - the wasps deal, wasps churning up the pitch, getting turfed out the home dressing room, wasps memorabilia all around the place, no access to the internal warm area, is all going to have negative effects, especially after the euphoria of returning.

Yep, exactly. It is well documented to be honest. I've heard opposition managers and players talk about especially doing well here. Think it is the same with any purported 'big' club and large stadium.You might not have noticed, but we're in League 1 and stadia like the Ricoh are rare. Several managers have mentioned players raising their game at the Ricoh TBF. Just because you have a chip on your shoulder about it doesn't stop footballers wanting to play in stadia that look like they belong in the top leagues. Same as they love Nandos and Twitter, it doesn't need explaining, it just is.
Stupot do you really think the players when they go out on the pitch think about the Wasp signage here and there ? Simply we are not good enough and despite recent away results still aren't, luckily there are a number of teams around us not good enough also and what will prove we are not good enough is if we stay up, if Tony Mowbray stays and if he is given a decent budget very few of this group of players will be kicking the new season off for us come August
I fully understand your argument but how many do you think of our current team, the one that played Saturday plus Reda Johnson will kick off August should we be in this division.
Don't quite buy that, Stu. Been plenty of other seasons when our home form has been crap.Never said our players were good enough, in fact I'm one of our biggest critics. But like I pointed out, if there are marginal gains, then there must be things that are marginal losses, and I believe after the initial euphoria of returning home (and back to back wins) the wasps deal (and various knock on effects - not just signage but changing rooms, pitch, etc.) must have led to some marginal losses. I'm not saying it's the main reason or the only reason, but a contributing factor.

If the players are purely and simply not good enough, then how can they play better, score more per game, concede less per game and gain more points per game away from home than they have at the Ricoh? If we are saying opposition raise their games at the Ricoh playing in a nice stadium, then the marginal losses argument has to have some legs.
It's funny really, at Anfield in the tunnel they have a sign "THIS IS ANFIELD" aimed at intimidating the opposition reminding them of the challenge ahead, whereas our players now enter the ricoh under a banner than says "WE ARE WASPS".....

Stupot the teams that come to the Ricoh play on the Break and are hard to breakdown where as away we setup to play on the break and get space for attacking them. If TM set us up to play on the break at home we would be howling derisory comments about us being Shite"! oh! wait a minute I think we do!Isn't that a different point? It's such fine margins too isn't it. We were well in control against Doncaster and though they were starting to dominate, we lost by throwing 3 goals away due to individual mistakes. Horrific defensive mistakes have led to defeats in two of the home games under Mowbray, the other a decent draw against Bradford.
Prior to this Steven Pressley was our manager.
In time Mowbray will turn the home form around.

No that was not what I was alluding to, and it's not just the signs, but being moved out of the changing room, not allowed to use the indoor warm up area, and the awful pitch which has been churned up by egg chasing.

I understand the pitch for sure, but if the changing room is bothering them and it bugs them that we are not allowed to use the indoor warm up area, how come we have taken the lead in the last 4 home games?
Surely we'd being coming out into games feeling just a little irked and sorry for ourselves, rather than be flying out the blocks?

The pitch is the same for both teams, since TM has arrived horrific individual and collective defensive errors have cost us games against Port Vale and Donny. Both of those teams were distinctly average and in no way thrashed us. Prior to this SP was in charge.
The wasps 'influence' has nothing to do with the performances of the players.
