I remember being desperately excited when we signed Walleme. He came with a pedigree, and I convinced myself he was going to move us to the next level...

Ah, the innocence of youth!

I remember one of his first games for us when he was marking Alan Shearer. Shearer completely battered him that day.

Suffo must be the only Olympic Gold medalist City have had. Won the Frence double. Was once at Barcelona. Played up front with Samuel Eto'o. Got sent off in the World Cup for sticking one on Michael Ballack.

Impressive but his career highlight was clearly playing for me pre season at Nuneaton Town a few years ago. Could barely run but his skill was still there.

Steve Mokone (Kalamazoo) South Africa. Way before my time but have heard the name mentioned many times over the years by older rels. Not sure if he would have been selected for the national team tho because of his colour.

Definitely Portugese. One of three Icelandics. Incidentally it's impressive how good they are at sport at international level considering our City has a population greater than their entire country.

Who remembers Walter Zevallos? Was supposed to come over with Zuniga, I believe we paid £1.5m for the duo, Richardson claimed he would have no problems receiving a work permit, but it turned out he didn't even qualify for one in the first place. Definitely something dodgy was going on there but I guess we'll never find out, most corrupt man in football he was.

Was having a chat with a guy at Luton on Saturday.
He was saying those trips down to South America cost a small fortune, quoted £55K.
Don't know If that was for one or cumulative trips.
Apparently he was a bit like that Peer who's just resigned while he was down there.
Who knows though at the end of the day Its hear say Isn't It.

Zevallos doesn't even have a Wikipedia page and if you search his name it's almost as if he didn't exist, very very little on him. It wouldn't surprise me if Richardson was getting paid a nice sum by agents to take crap players on and give them a chance in England, knowing full well they weren't good enough.

I may be wrong but was it not Walter Zeballos rather than Zevallos?
