With all the weird hyperbole and even weirder conspiracy theories I would just like a thread to remember the road we've been on .
EFL trophy winners
League 2 playoff winners
League 1 winners
Playoff losers
FA Cup semi final losers

You can add to those such results as winning at Wolves in the Cup, beating Boro in the playoffs , doing the double over Fulham and many other highs .

So while everything is doom and gloom and we have a clueless manager . I personally would like to thank Mark Robins , especially in his time of sadness , for giving me some of the biggest highs as a fan in my 47 years of following my beloved club .

Will take an awful lot for this fan to cast doubt on his tenure

Win tomorrow and Saturday and we're up and running. MR could get manager of the month in 4 weeks time!

The Wolves and United games were probably the two best days I've ever had following the club.

I've never been more proud to be from Coventry and a supporter of the club than that Semi Final.

They were a matter of months ago. We should never get ahead of ourselves.

Notts County away was the day I saw better days ,the atmosphere, the camaraderie, just every emotion after the previous 10+ years . That night will never leave me ,that was special and that was the start

It was amazing. Certainly up there.

Controversial, but I preferred Middlesbrough. It was the closest thing I've ever got to a European style atmosphere. 2000 of us well and truly up against a barrage of noise and pressure.

The celebrations were better after the game. A genuine belief that we were gonna do it.

Mad that a few weeks before that they turned us over. Once we confirmed the play offs - I was convinced we were going up.

it’s why I prefer the Oxford checkatrade game over Exeter - Oxford we felt like underdogs, Exeter for me was routine. Just knew we were going to win

think a lot of people have forgotten the annual demands to sack the manger followed by a new appointment and promises of better times before we ended up with Robins. not saying he's untouchable but we're not even in October yet!

Cam but this is it .The here and now from 2016 ? 2019 ? 2021 ?
There have been so many times we've stumbled and stuttered and we have come through .
I'm on holiday at the moment , been talking to a Brentford fan who loves us. First thing he says you were robbed against United . Second was you should've beat Spurs the other week .
He , like I'm sure many other opposition fans, can't understand why we're doing so badly but he said you've got a bloody good manager

I don't want him gone. But results have to improve fast. If we don't win either of these two home games it will be our worst start since we returned to the championship, with arguably our best squad.

Also the performances against Wolves/United/Spurs etc are a separate beast from the performances needed week in week out to get promoted.

The general comments we see from the opposition fans of who we've played in the league this season (apart from Oxford), is what on earth has happened?!

Stability is what has dragged us from L2 to where we are now and what’s been achieved. A lot in here can remember the revolving door days. It doesn’t work.

massive week
win 2 and we are back on track 11 points from 9 would not be so bad
lose 2 and it is probably the end of an era - as MR said himself it is not sustainable

We need to massively get behind the team tonight, and then its over to them . If they dont turn up they have truly let the manager and us down - we need a Man Utd / Wolves performance tonight

I’m sure he’ll turn things around as we tend to get going around this time (for whatever reason) but the issue atm is the team spirit and passion that got us all of those mentioned trophies and accolades has completely disappeared.

Robins has been brilliant, no doubt about it, but his task is to find a way of getting the team fighting for the badge again, if he can’t by Christmas then I believe someone else should be appointed as manager. I could be wrong here but I think I counted 4 league wins out of 19 games since the start of March, around 1 in 5, that’s ridiculously bad form. I’ve always believed in Robins but I’m not willing to blindly stick with him forever due to pure sentiment.

Spot on mate.
I’ve been following the club for round about the same number of years as yourself, aside from 1987, the last 7 years under Mark Robins ‘from a football perspective’ have been by far the most exciting & successful, when you think most of what he’s achieved here has been against a backdrop of real uncertainty & pure toxicity.

To be honest I’ve been really saddened & astonished at how quickly some people seem to forget where we’ve been and the very significant role Mark Robins has played leading us to where we are now.

Yeah, this. I was going to try a similar list for anyone whose memory doesn't quite go back as far as 87 for the previous 30 years. I remember some good one off games (wins over Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U, Villa) and some great individuals. But a list of team achievements... help me out someone!!

Great message perennial lurker. I agree with you completely.

I would definitely add the Notts County away leg of the play off semi final to the list. It's probably my favourite ever game, Wembley games included. The atmosphere was electric and the feeling of connection between fans and players was at its peak. Those of us at the game will mostly have been those who were there are the start going to Forest Green Rivers away etc. It was really special.

Speaking of which Cheltenham away that season was another one I remember - we were really purring that day and it was when , really began to think, we can do this. I was so unused to doing well, winning things, being promoted etc, I really needed to change my mindset to we can and we will.

After 50+ years of supporting the City, I definitely hold my faith through the tricky times - albeit having a bit of a moan sometimes with fellow fans - because the great times when they come are worth it.

I've been supporting the club since 1967, Robins has done an amazing job , but things change, revolve and move on. If he doesn't improve results the owner will change things.
