Whichever way you look at it people who make the effort to go tonight are pretty die hard fans of the club.

No, they really are not, what a pathetic thing to say.

Id say a 70 mile round trip to watch a game in midweek against a bottom side in league one does show immense loyalty and staying power.

on the back of afc wimbledon protest last night, why cant we pacl the west stand at sixfieds for one (home) game and protest before game and half time then do a sit in at the end of the game? i know people dont want to pay sisu any money but for one game treat it as a away game and pack the end behing goal as not many sit there anyway, just a idea as i think it would get some press and need extra police so that would cost sisu money too

I would do this for the one game. An idea was suggested before that we stage a "walk out" at 35 minutes which I think is a good idea.

No Grendel, it shows weakness. At least I suppose the ones that do go protest and make their voices heard on how they really feel about making that 70 mile round trip, oh hang on (tumbleweed rolling past)...............

It would be a good idea, but like many other people I am very much in the camp of I won't travel 34 miles to watch a home game to make a statement that I won't travel 34 miles to watch a home game.

Yes I do. However a couple of strikes a year doesn't get them anywhere. All PS workers have pay and pension issues.

Agreed .

What I find problematic for them ,and I guess It goes for PS workers in general but specifically Education,Is the use of It as a Political football.

The continual new boundaries every 3-4 yrs,The lowering of respect for the Profession of Teaching and It's shaping of future generations ,the hair brained Ideas that almost rule out regulation and revert to Victorian principals with Patrons Buying In through various Ethical /Religious Viewpoints and the subsequent failures we're now seeing as a result of that.

I guess I've got a few years on you and from my era it was a respected well paid Profession and they were respected In the classroom ,they had to be.

That system i went through was very fit for purpose and produced the required output for the Economy of the day ,what I found bemusing when I was around mid to late twenties was that me and my peers could earn as much or more for basically manual skilled work ,admittedly incurring apparent higher hours .

We're all under attack with our conditions being re dawn ,those Victorian values are coming back ,Destitution Is rife ,the wealth divide Is Increasing ,exploitation Is rabid ,there Is as usual one common denominator ,The Caring party,If we must go back In time i'd rather see Some Quaker Values return ,rather than the Workhouse /sweatshop approach ,Development and Improvement of the workforce and their conditions.

I agree, there would always be some people who would go i.e Northampton public, freebies, corporate etc so you will never get an empty stadium and lets face it, it is vertually empty so it wouldnt have a shock factor and therefore make little impact. A mass walkout would be visually impressive and send a clear message out that we are unhappy. Overall however none will make the slightest bit of difference sadly....

Cant argue with that, but the way you put your point across demands a reaction. Perfect Trolling.

I know Grendel is always trolling and more times than not, will not entertain him but now and again I have to play the game.

Just as a further point on this, what does that make fans who refuse to go to Northampton yet follow the club around the country on away days???

Very possibly and then what about those who follow the team on every away day, stand on the hill for home games and protest when ever and where ever they possibly can.

Now we have sorted that out, it puts me right at the bottom of the pile, I best detach myself from the club as I am no longer a worthy supporter.

I would be too embarrassed to be seen endorsing Sisu hostile takeover of the Ricoh by using my beloved Coventry City Football Club.

I AGREE , I will never go there no matter what. Others should take the same actions and then something maybe, and I agree its only a maybe, change,

Horrific idea, imagine going and end up sitting next to Grendull with Marilion coming out of his head phones.

We're not all boycotting Northampton because we don't want to give SISU money, some of us are boycotting because we are protesting at our club being moved 34 miles away. Simple. as. that.

I would say the majority of us have given money to SISU up until this season with our ST money, and I've given more money to them this season from away ticket revenue than people who have attended Sixfields for 1 home game this season.
