..... there's a really good page fro anyone who has memories of Coventry - not just the club, but the city as a whole. There's tons of old photos to look at, bringing back floods of memories for us "older ones" and many for the not so old. Well worth a look! You can upload any pics that you have as well. It would be good to see some other pics that no-one else has seen. The link....

For anyone interested in Coventry history, one of our members, Dutchman, has a brilliant webpage. http://www.historiccoventry.co.uk/

I'm sure he'd welcome a few visitors. Loads to look at and play around with!

Although I'm a regular contributor to the forum on that site Houch it actually belongs to Rob Orland.

My own local history forum is here: http://icserver.no-ip.biz/coventry/viewforum.php?f=8

Was looking at this last night on my missus' facebook and it is class.

Poster Place, Spin-a-Disc, The Eclipse.

I love the old ones of Ball Hill and Walsgrave Road as well.

Unfortunately not on Facebook but have looked at the other websites and found some fascinating old pictures, which bring back so many memories. Have been looking for a long time for some pictures of the old original Spon Street/Spon End where we lived as kids so when I have more time, will look at them in more detail to see if I can find what I want.

Keep up the good work!

I've been posting pictures and maps of old Spon Street and Spon End to various forums for some years now. Just Google image search "dutchman spon street" or "dutchman spon end"

If you click on HH's link you can look at the photos without having a Facegeek account anyway.
