Now I know money has ruined the game for the working class but in today's climate, who thinks Gareth Bale is worth 85 million?

I've watched him twice from the stands last season and have to admit, there's not many I've seen that are in the same class bracket.

I agree Otis but I meant with the over inflated prices, is he about right at that price. I say this because if I was building a team from anyone in the world of football at present, he's the only British based player who would make the squad.

They sold it for £3million apparently: http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...ss-out-£10million-after-scrapping-bale-clause

A decision that, with hindsight, seems on the surface at least to be up there in the sensible stakes with a football club selling its rights to food and beverage income...

thats it NOPM you won't see me at white hart lane, buys spurs tops or in the club shop! Taking the pee they are, if we all stand together, we'll beat 'em. Lets have a keep bale at spurs march meet at severn sisters tube station in half an hour.

Very good player but he's on the level of Mata, Reus, Müller et al rather than Messi, Ronaldo and Iniesta.

Think if Spurs get £85M they could get Soldado + a couple of others. With Paulinho already signed they could easily break into the top 4 even without Bale.
