Not desperate to play this latest version as I'm still playing FM18 (contemplating to start FM19!).
However, having learnt lessons from a couple of earlier versions that there are a few bugs at demo and full release, I held off from buying until after the January transfer window database/build had been ironed out, improved and released.
Plus, it's gonna be a bit cheaper!
I was lucky enough to grab the free download of FM24 from Epic, so I have that to look forward toFM24 is the best version yet I reckon - plus you can carry over previous saves in that version too
Gonna purchase it when get a new laptop. Hopefully tomorrow if I get time. I've been asking for these specific tactical changes for years.
UI looks okay on YouTube videos but it seems to be main reason fans hate it. I don't like change but always get used to new FM format after a short while. Hopefully the same case here
Most of the vids I seen are negative about the UI , I just mean it looks ok to my eye. Homepage portal etcFM Youtubers have been under fire though for saying the game's brilliant etc when apparently it's blatantly not & they've gotta say it's good because they get free copies of it from Sports Interactive
It's tomorrow the actual release is out and to be fair the beta with the update from steam is now almost bug freeTactics and matchday I love. It's just a little too buggy for me right now, so I've parked it. Looking forward to the proper release so I can start my unemployed-no badges-no rep save.
The reason people are whinging about the UI is it is different. The last god knows how many FMs were basically just the same game with tweaks and this is a brand new game. People just don't like change and the UI does make sense once you get used to it.Most of the vids I seen are negative about the UI , I just mean it looks ok to my eye. Homepage portal etc
Question is should I spend £1000 on a laptop that runs it smooth and future versions over next 5 years or go for a cheaper one that does the job still

What you mean? There will surely be hot fixes and patches etc. always is after a releaseSports Interactive have issued a statement saying they're not gonna be updating the game now as is so sod it - I'm sticking with FM24 for now
Cos I wanna make sure it runs rly smooth and I don't need to buy another one for a long timeWhy wouldn't you go for a cheaper one?
I don't believe that's the case, but it's no bother to me. Once it's ready, I'll get stuck into a game and spend many wasted hours on it. I'm in no rush. It's tomorrow the actual release is out and to be fair the beta with the update from steam is now almost bug free
They've been updating it daily though so they if the latest update is the final one then there is no needSports Interactive have issued a statement saying they're not gonna be updating the game now as is so sod it - I'm sticking with FM24 for now
They said about update on Wednesday too. No idea if meaningful thoughThey've been updating it daily though so they if the latest update is the final one then there is no need
they will also do updates throughout the year, it's what they have always done
There's a demo version on Steam if you want to try it. Just be sure to go in with low expectations. This is getting tanked in the reviews so I'm going to skip it and hope that 27 has it all ironed out. The mobile version is free on Netflix though so I'll give that one a look
it's getting tanked by idiots who can't grasp the UI wich is really simple. This is getting tanked in the reviews so I'm going to skip it and hope that 27 has it all ironed out. The mobile version is free on Netflix though so I'll give that one a look
You really are missing out as it's brilliant now, I actually do feel sorry for youThere's a demo version on Steam if you want to try it. Just be sure to go in with low expectations.
I downloaded the demo to try it again, but I'm still incredibly underwhelmed. I guess I was spoilt by some incredible skins in previous versions that gave me all the stats I could ever wish for. This will be the first time I haven't owned an FM/CM since CM Italia, so I do feel quite disappointed, but I'll keep my eyes on it and see if it improves, and maybe dip back into it later in the year. You really are missing out as it's brilliant now, I actually do feel sorry for you
I'm sure there's a large element of that but I've read about too many silly little things that seemed to slip past testers to be too enthused.it's getting tanked by idiots who can't grasp the UI wich is really simple.
Don't listen to football fans and gamers online as most are fucking idiots
I would say try it yourself personally. It's a good game. I genuinely think the outrage is dumb as fuckThis is getting tanked in the reviews so I'm going to skip it and hope that 27 has it all ironed out. The mobile version is free on Netflix though so I'll give that one a look
West Brom score??Certainly can't say it's unrealistic. After 15 games I was top of the league, having only lost 1 game (away to Wrexham). Now 22 games in and only other loss was away to Ipswich. Tried to replicate our formation and appears to be working so far
