@ canyouhearthedrums......"Following the installation of a fibre-optic network that will eventually link all club stadiums, matches can now be beamed back to grounds, live in HD, at a fraction of the previous cost. As a result, clubs may now enter into agreements that will enable the away club to broadcast the match for the benefit of its own fans."........................................Another time you try to take the piss and fail eh? You really are a plonka Rodders!!!

It just says grounds, doesn't actually say Home Grounds.

@ Nick....You are really having a "Blonde moment" aren't you. lmfao. Can you see SISU allowing the game to be beamed to the Ricoh if they don't get gate receipts from there. I suggest you join Rodders, Delboy!

Surely you are on to a winner here. You pioneered live streaming to households a couple of years ago. Get a patent and sell it to the football league. You can then holiday every week of the year off the proceeds .

I didn't say they would, just saying it doesn't specify it will only be sent to home grounds, just other grounds.

For all we know they may well stream random games at random grounds in the bar if there was call for it.

@ LB87ccfc.......Look at it from another angle mate....Sixfields gets on average1k-1.2k home fans yes?....How many fans would turn up at Sixfields if CCFC were playing away in any ground within, let's say, 50 miles?...I'll tell you, Zero,Zip,Nada,Nul, or if you prefer English..None. Now if CCFC were playing the those games within the same distance, and we were playing "Home Games" at the Ricoh, I'm "Doing a Grenduffy now" Estimate roughly 7k-8k crowds, paying £10 per seat would bring in for SISU revenue far in excess of there share of the gate receipts from an away following of 1.5-2.5k at the opponents ground.....To finish, I totally agree that it would kill off football for the away fan, but SISU would without any doubt whatsoever, be rubbing their hands at the thought of it!

My previous post was made with "Estimates/Guesses only" unlike Grenduffy who portrays his "Estimates" as facts......Thank You!

Sorry you can't tonight....2 reasons...1) No Slate mines, think you mean quarry, within 150 miles of where I live. 2) I'm at your house "Banging the back doors out of your mrs."

I do not think you understood what I was getting at... being a fan who loves away games, and for example we return to the Ricoh, I would much prefer large away followings to add to the atmosphere of the match rather than fucking armchair support.

The FL should look at better ways for families / youngsters / adults to attend IN PERSON to see THEIR team, not a lucrative TV deal for the FL to keep raping the arse out of the working class citizen who wishes to go and see his / her football team play.

@ LB87ccfc....Sorry mate, but I'm not trying to argue, but I can't misunderstand something that you never said can I?..........................You never said anything about..............."and for example we return to the Ricoh, I would much prefer large away followings to add to the atmosphere of the match rather than fucking armchair support."..............................................................................And it wouldn't be armchair support if away games were beamed to our "Home Ground" where fans can go and pay to watch the game would it?

It could all be very lucrative to the football club owners...ie- Games televised at the away teams ground only would bring in far more revenue for the away club, whilst the home team keep all the revenue from the game...........Why do you think away teams are limited on their allocation of tickets? Away clubs get a percentage of the gate money. Now if the away club had nothing, only what they sell to fans at their own arena, it could end up being a "Home Game" with 15k-20k watching the televised match at the Ricoh, opposed to 1.5k-2.5k that travel to the away game....Just putting it out there guys

In the US American Football games are not available locally if they have not sold all or most of the tickets, sometimes the home club will buy them so they get the TV coverage.

All games are viewable to away supporters. But TV coverage.

All Premiership games are available live.

I can see people will go for major games to watch it at the away teams ground, but for regular games not so sure it would be that significant.
