You've ALL missed the irony - "Football League Initiative to help fans avoid travelling" doesn't include Coventry fans who are forced to travel 70 miles there and back to ****fields then? SISU DO ONE #sisudoone
Good idea if you ask me. I wish they would stream every game to homes on Pay Per View
its a good idea that will be successfull i think, i would use it at the ricoh(which prob will be last to be isntalled now)
things like this will become more common, maybe one day clubs will offer their own tv channels with home and away matches live, who knows.
@ LB87ccfc.....So in essense, nothing would really change at Sixfields then?
Well that would be fine,if they beamed it to the Ricoh and we all went there to watch. Beaming to homes though could to different consequences maybe.
yeah it would be convenient but would hurt attendances.

Can't see it having legs if it was beaming proper away games to Sixfields. And I doubt the club would allow it to be transmitted to the Ricoh under present circumstances.
If we were back at the Ricoh then yes, I reckon we'd get a few thousand. I guess from the club's point of view, you have to look at whats better for the team (lots of support) against better value for the coffers. We'll always get a hard core traveling but money wise, would they earn more charging to watch at the Ricoh, offset against how many wouldn't travel away?
Perhaps once the network is in place, then the ultimate step WOULD be pay per view at home. Financially, I can't see this as a goer for the club. A family would only have to pay once, as opposed to forking out for the kids (and pies!) Or everyone round Nick's gaff, bring your own cans. You'd get a few pubs/clubs trying it on too. Would be a winner for fans living living abroad though.

@ LB87ccfc..............Unless my geography is crap, I didn't know that Sixfields is in Coventry boundaries, and nowhere in your post do you say "away games" mate
Terrible idea. Say we one day return to the Ricoh... Imagine how many Gillingham would bring on a Tuesday night if they could sit at home and watch it?
It will damage football league away attendances massively. Only the real die hards would go.
Cosmic@ LB87ccfc....You don't seem to get the gist of what I'm saying do you? The games will be sent to the "Home Ground" Which at this moment in time is 35 miles away in Northampton !
