Lot of talk recently about the Football League. So I took a look at the last published results. Can be found here

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/00080612/filing-history

Last set of accounts to 30/06/2015 filed last November. Click the link on the above page and it will take you to the accounts. Interesting page is the last one "Five Year Review"

made operating losses in 4 of the last 5 years
only way they make a net profit is from money held on deposit - which I assume is sponsorship income to be distributed to the clubs as prize fund solidarity etc payments
Overall the balance sheet has been negative in each of the last 5 years. In 2015 it was a £972k **deficit.
The notes also address how the League has addressed any going concern issues

Would seem they need to work on their finances.

The annual return lists Otium Entertainment Group as the shareholder - just a thought but shouldn't we really have a name that relates to CCFC not OEG Ltd?

** edit one too many digits in the deficit sorry

and people wonder why SISU don't see any point in investment and wont hold onto our best players, maddison and wilson alone cleared 6m of that 10m deficit you mentioned

Remember when Pompey fans were kicking off about the fit and proper persons test (which was of course after years of silence as their dodgy owner spent millions) the FL basically told them the test was meaningless and they couldn't enforce anything as they didn't have the money for any potential court case.
