Read on here a couple of our lads were going on the FLA march on Saturday through London...a bit of research (i.e. Googling the name) shows that the likes of the Indie implying it's a racism front group, and the Speccie claiming it's a "working class anti=Islamist terror protest group" without any dishonourable motives.

Anyone know the truth? It all looks a bit EDL to me, especially with Tommy Robinson turning up.

Not my cup of tea but I think the organisers have good intentions but of course some unsavoury extreme right wing types will try and hijack it hence Tommy Robinson being there.
I saw a few lads I know on their way to it while I was travelling down to Barnet and they're not your racist types and was in a pub full of people who had been on the march in London early evening and it was civilised with no hint of trouble.

Some of the speakers are a wee bit dodgy.

Doesn't mean everyone who goes is racist, but I wouldn't want to be associated with some of the speakers and their motives.

I believe one of the veterans groups pulled out for this very reason.

They'd need to change the name if they wanted to be taken even slightly seriously. "Football Lads Alliance" is just awful.

It's one of those things, I'd say 99% of the population are against terrorism.

What's the actual aim? It says it was organised to "show concern".
