Stand to get £5 million if Vardy goes to Arsenal

Even if half of that goes on new players, it could do some serious harm in this league.

Anyone else think they could be a force if they spend it, or does the mear fact Pressley is the manager mean we have very little to worry about ?

But they have Pressley to spend it. Sort of lessens the danger

See they have released a high number of players though so may need to use it

Don't worry.... Pressley couldn't pick a player from a line-up.

1 the players released were carp
2 it is not unusual at this level
3 5m cash injection at this level is huge
4 lets hope most of it won't reach first team squad?

Be interesting to see how many players he signed since he's been there though.

He did alright the first season here keeping us up, but we all know how it went after that

I think they have technical Director or sort of Overlord and a policy similar to Swansea where the club follows a set ethos.
So in theory the players may be selected over his head.

Can't see too many decent players wanting to go there though. Small club with poor gates. Not a major pull

With some money, they will have a opportunity to build a squad that can challenge.

Recent history with clubs like Burton show promotion is possible with the right squad

Will they just do like Sisu and drip it into the club or lump it in and gave a go

drip it in ?

remind me when sisu have had a £5 million windfall ?

Not saying they would give any of it to the playing side, but until that happens.............

Wilson, Maddison etc has all gone to keeping the club self sufficient in recent years

The interesting one would be if Wilson moves on and we get an unexpected lump sum

We would never know if they have had or ever get a windfall as they are all undisclosed. If and when Wilson moves it will go on the self sufficient route.

They could have have got a bigger fee for Wilson but instead they were messing around in Northampton.

Stop making excuses for our owners just allowing a fraction of the Maddison fee could have made the difference between where we ended up and 6th spot which was just 2 points away

Nothing to do with Mowbray that we finished two points short then?

He is more to blame than SISU as to why we didn't finish in the top 6.

Fleetwood will do well to finish midtable next season. They have completely changed the team and as we have seen it's consistancy that produces success not money.

I'd very much doubt a club like fleetwood would inject all of a 5m windfall into the playing side. There a small club that seem to have a owner who does things steady and within there reach.
On a side note does anyone actually know what percentage we would receive if Bournemouth sell Callum Wilson despite how it would be used by ccfc?

Fleetwood have a 'businessman' at their helm whereas we have pirates. Fleetwood owner has put his money into the club whereas ours have put other peoples. Fleetwood will reinvest whereas ours see xxx% of interest paying back loans.
In fact I an taking the SISU business model and putting it into my family business. I put 50,000 pounds into it at 50% interest and at present my 4 year old kid, who will inherit the company, owes me £100,000 interest.

I never bothered checking what the poster said originally.

2 points, 5 points, 10 points, Mowbray was to blame for our horrendous run earlier in the year. We were more than capable of finishing in the top 6

Fleetwood only went professional as a club 5/6 seasons ago and actually have a self sustaining model as a club. So I say I doubt they will be investing 5m in the playing budget

Yeah it's all his fault, transforming us from last day relegation survivors
to finishing 8th on 69 points,
Surprised he can show his face in public .

There's a marked difference in Fire fighting to get results than to manage a club for success
