If you want goal-scoring midfielders, it is a shockingly bad stat. When you have strikers firing on all cylinders like Clarke and Wilson, its ok. But in our present situation, we need a couple of midfielders able to contribute more going forward.
Nearly done it against Gillingham in the first match back, only denied by a wonderful save. He's never really had much flair though from what I've seen
Its bad Weeman, I cant remember a time when we had so little input in terms of goals from the midfield. If you add in the poor return of Thomas or Barton, it is shocking. Is it the coaching or just the quality of player we now deal with?
We did Pax and it's being discussed on other threads. I'm ecstatic we won...gets me over the fact that Forest losing missed me out on a £354 acca!
But the point of the thread is relevant whether we won or lost today. Had we lost, you may have liked it more? See posts #4 and #9. About sum it up for me.
He plays as playmaking defensive mid, show me one cdm ( who doesn't take set peices) who scores 5+ a season. He is our version of a Fernandinho or Lucas Leiva(obviously not for passing but as a CDM), he isn't gonna score many, although I think he could if he pushed up a bit more.
