Thinking of making a welcome home flag will they confiscate it? (not sure of the complete wording thou)

Flag will be fire retardant but words painted on.

And the tee shirts are already on order

Fabric paint ,or better still regular emulsion ,hardly flammable /Combustable ,might give off a bit of smoke though.

No it is a proper blank one ready for painting or maybe get some letters made for it?

And before anyone asks it is not a Sisu out flag save that one for another game.

First game back needs to be all fans together, after that every man for him or herself!!!

Does having a flag make you a more important fan or something? Its over mate, you are just making yourself look a bit of a tit. Buying a season ticket would be a better use of your time and benefit the team far more.

The welcome home flag is fine, but the continuation of the sisu out stuff is boring and attention seeking. That's my problem with it.
Plus it's Mr Whistle, so he annoys me anyway.

We are back at the Ricoh. Stand by for a load of plastic fans taking advantage of 10 quid tickets and shouting SISU OUT all game with no sense of irony.

He's already said its not a SISU OUT flag. So no one should have a problem with it should they

Back to the OP. I think even most Gloss Paints are water based these days but check the tin, car paint certainly is so a visit to your local body shop with some cash in your pocket might be an idea so cant see an issue with paint and a fire certificate.

Hill ... He is entitled to protest if you like it or not. It is his democratic right.

I can't see why you have this problem. The facts are SISU being part of CCFC is still a problem.

Let all this Ricoh Arena return razzmatazz calm down then we will see how genuine they really are. After that as LAST said he will save it for another game.

For now he wants to convey a message to the team to welcome them home and I say good on him.

I'm aware he's entitled to do it. I'm also entitled to say I think it's boring now. We all (the majority) want them gone, a flag isn't going to help in any way at all.
The last time that happened, people were getting thrown out and all the attention was taken off the game. Even the players were looking into the stands.

The welcome home flag is a good idea. I've not got a problem with that.

So it is all over and we should act like nothing has happened?

I am not too bothered what we do as long as nobody gets into trouble and us fans are not taken for granted again. So we can't afford to go quietly and all become nodding dogs. We have done as we said and returned. They can't even keep up with the ticket demand. We have been told that 60% of income will go into the squad. Will we have the truth on the numbers? We have 2 years and maybe another two years at the Ricoh. Will they take the piss out of us again?

Maybe if things continue to get better for our club they will win more of us over. We are back at the Ricoh because they failed in what they were trying. We are not back for the good of our club or us supporters. I am not going to sing SISU out all the time at games. But they need to gain some trust before I stop wanting them out of my club.

On an unrelated...but related matter.

There was a poster who said the return home should be a flag day where everyioe brings flags. It would be great to see a sea of sky blue with flags etc.

Just ordered my £5ft by 3ft Sky Blue and white chequed flag from ebay for £4. As far as I am aware it complies with all H&S requirements. I urge peeps to stop the bickering and get into the true spirit of this game which could be a significant milestome in our history....and get yourself a flag!!!

I havent been this excited since we signed Sandy Robertson

Wow, this has escalated alot hasnt it!! I would love to see loads of flags there, it looks great in wider europe, Rangers, Celtic and even Arsenal's two flags look impressive. Clearly we are going to be positive and upbeat for this game and then revert back to the usual doom and gloom so lets friggin enjoy it FFS!

Why not put welcome back on one side and Sisu out on the other. A cunning plan as a) you save money by not buying two banners b)when the bully boy stewards come over to thump you on the nose you can quickly turn it around and they will be confused and think you have gone!

Good I hope your sitting in my vicinity, then again I am not one for sitting still.
So it is attention seeking!!
So we should all just sit there quietly and let them do as they please.
Well I am willing to change if they do.

So you now believe they have changed ? I am sorry but I am not that easily swayed......

That's the one looked pretty good I thought.

Just it might be a bit too big and the usual fans will moan it spoils their view.

God forbid if anyone should stand up.......

Next to or just behind Jesus in block 15 assuming we don't move. Come and say hello. Genuinely.

Not sure where I said they have changed, you brought that up. I just think if it gets silly like before it will distract from whats important during the match, which I believe is the actual match.

you probably never said they had changed. Unfortunately like most on this site that is what I've read so sorry if I have misinterpreted you, any way we are not moving yet so will still be in block 16 you can't miss us

Aaah but we've only won a small battle not the war, so although as I say I'm not advocating protest or negativity on the night, I for one will not be forgiving them anytime soon for the last couple of years of shame that they have put us through. I've read many posts from Andreas over the last six months and am hard pressed to find many criticising the main protagonists responsible for the worst ever period in our history.

So not finding much seething at them makes them his beloved. Solid.

Let's at least leave this kind of thing behind in Northampton if nothing else.
