Looking at the fixtures we seem to have a reasonably tough start on paper and then at the turn in January where teams look to push on the fixtures look startlingly easier just at the right time.
Of course no two seasons are alike in reality and Swindon for example might be a disaster this year and we might be terrific...but who knows?
What I do know is we have tony Mowbray at the helm and that has to be worth points in the bag as were demonstrated away from home at the end of last season. he is a man who will bring home results come what may in this league. That's where my confidence comes from about the season ahead. There is lots of hype surrounding Adkins for example at Sheffield Utd and I think all of that raises expectation and pressure on the club too early. TM will get the job done, let them fear us.

The big plus is we get the annual loss to Crewe at home out of the way early.

I fancy Millwall away, just need to update my life insurance first.

It's a brave new world the defeats at home to Crewe will end this year!

I've booked a room at the Ricoh for that Crewe game, I'm off that week so gonna come down from Norfolk on public transport and have a few beers before and after the game anybody know what time you can drink in the Casino till ? Or has the hotel itself got a bar that's open later ?

Fair play mate - but is there any point in booking a room?

Don't think it's very safe driving back to Norfolk after a load of beer

plus a pitch side room at the Ricoh was £50, the travel lodge in the centre was £100

Always book a hotel in the city centre myself as I end up drinking there after the game but would consider it myself.

Two home games over the xmas period, 19th to Oldham, and 26th, to Port Vale.

And 8th in the league - good start...

Got to be advantage playing these "bigger relegated" sides earlier as they haven't settled and suffered a relegation instead of letting them get into stride and then play them.

Big game first up. Beat Wigan at home in front of say 12k fans then who knows?

Does the £50 include a match ticket and can you watch the game from your room?

Out of interest does anybody know how many people regularly watch both City and Cov rugby?

The number rose dramatically when we went to Northants but still would only number perhaps 400 or so. It's a good afternoon out at the BPA and I hope to lend support to both City and Cov again next year.

So your saying its a bunch of blokes in midget clothing doing maths exams whilst taking pictures of trains and telling tales of when they all was friends and drank together singing comb by arr.

The Imaginary encounters you speak off still go on even in this day and age unfortunately
