Wondering whether to buy a pint on Saturday or not.
The pub I go to though isn't very popular, generally two thirds empty on a Saturday, the staff seem disinterested and can't do their jobs very well, and the bar manager doesn't seem to have a clue at all.
Unless the landlords can give me some reassurance of changes then my hard earned will have to be spent elsewhere.

Agreed, where I go, the beer has got more and more flat. They have stopped stocking the older decent ales, and are bringing in younger drinks, which will be gone in months. They havent paid the rent for months, and are encouraging more people to buy the pints, despite less quality.
They are trying to buy the chip shop next door, and that seems to be taking up all their attention. Its something to do with the income it might make.
Oh, they have also frozen prices for a couple of weeks, as they are talking of a new delivery of fruit machines, but in reality, theyhave got rid of the "deal or no deal" machine, and blaming the "pub fair play" rules on it.
My local is hosting some event in july they reckon it will be rammed with thirsty punters for a fair few days but come late august it will revert back to it's normal back street boozer status hoping to attract a few stragglers from the shove happenny bar next door.

Seen the state of the shithouse? A facelift is when they change the shitroll. If they put a new shit scraper in the bogs, the place has to shut down for a week for refurbishment...
we'll have to check that one out, BSB, as do we make a point of visiting the shittest pubs in each town we visit for away games. we ask the first local we see for shittest, roughest pub in the town and land on it.
it's a right larf...and gets everyone on their toes....:slap:

The whole area is tired looking and lurks with nasty surprises. Went to the Bull and Anchor on Wheelright lane for lunch on Saturday, that ended nicely when some desperate individual started jumping in front of the traffic, whilst pretending he was at the bus stop. He succeeded after a minute or so and got him himself quite badly injured I imagine. It took the air ambulance to remove him and the road was closed for the afternoon after that. Nice !!
The only decent part is the real estate SISU are desperate to lay their greedy hands on.
