Ransom got money for Borrowdale and Gray, leaving every fan wondering; how??

Random left at the right time. Everything the club was doing was the opposite to what he signed up for.

He tried to begin doing what SISU are trying to do now; build a squad with young, ambitious players. Had his plan be more successful and we did what we're (trying to) do now from the beginning, CCFC may have been in a better place.

Fisher is in post because he meets the 'bad cop' criteria; someone with arrogance; someone who's not afraid to cause upset (and boy he has succeeded with that)

Edit: just realised throughout this whole reply, I referred to Ranson as Ransom or Random

Lets look at done real facts;

We avoided relegation in his first season in the last game.

We fared little better in the next two seasons.

Most of his signings were not ever fitting into his "plan". Wright, beuzilin, mcindoe, Eastwood etc. we're poor and the likes of wood grossly overpaid.

How many youth players really broke through under him? He actually ended up with a similar problem to what he said he'd get rid of - a large squad of mediocre players managed by someone utterly unfit for purpose.

He was catastrophic at managerial appointments

He never addressed the real business issues regarding the ground ownership

He continued to take up losses while the teams league position never improved

You make some good points Grendel, but also argue in another post "If" he had Waggott he would have made better....well there is always IFs in life.

I think the real point of this thread is under SISU it has been shit. Now in League 1. Big financial and administrative mess.
Yes SISU inherited a poorly run football club 95 per cent are. Under them we have gone backwards rather than forwards. They are in it for themselves not for the club.

If you want to look at real facts then Fisher oversaw a relegation, administration, transfer embargo's, leaving the city of Coventry and mediocrity in a far inferior league to where he began. Those are facts.

That'll be why we own it now then.

Random got about a £200,000 profit on Danny Fox, and managed to lend money to Cardiff to buy players through his hedge-fund whilst our Chairman.

A fucking useless, money-grubbing shyster.

The clubs accounts(when they were filed), show his ever increasing salary in direct opposite to cowds and performances.

Plus his "loan" of £1.5million to the club paid back to him at 16% interest.

We've got far LESS chance of owning it now though. Fisher hasn't exactly formed a great relationship with ACL.

To be honest I don't think Mother Theresa would have had a great relationship with ACL.

What makes you say that? Other companies work very well with ACL, people I speak to regarding the music side of things speak very highly of them, if fact they've just been nominated (alongside Wembley and Emirates) as Best Stadium Venue Teamwork in the liveuk music awards - the industry awards for music venues. Seems the only people who struggle to get on with them are SISU.

Respectfully LSI answered with factual information based on legal accounts- your original inference was worse wasn’t it...? "When he couldn't personally trouser any more money out of the club" was your exact quote-or are you going to hide behind LSI?- accepting others answering questions on your behalf- not like you G?

With regard to your very weak "NOPM/SISU S*it" riposte as you refer to it as.... how could you possibly draw that conclusion from my response- which was to point out to you that Mr Fishers "footballing" record is far from glorious as per your original point- both in this thread and previous.
Our footballing fortunes have declined under his stewardship have they not or am I living in a parallel world?

Ranson consciously avoided trying to get Ricoh ownership!

Don't think Ranson would face a hostile supporters forum, or take unpopular decisions. Like Fisher or loathe him, he does not hide away.

According to him on Sisus instructions. But leaving that aside, I suggest you consult a dictionary about the word WOULD.

I suggest you ask how he would, when his entire policy was based around avoiding buying the Ricoh!

That to me suggests you ought to look up WOULD NOT.

This entire thread is hypothetical, its about whether Fisher would have been more successful than Ranson.

HAD Ranson tried to buy the Ricoh he would have been more successful at it than Fisher.

Or to put it another way, Do you think Fisher has been successful in his attempts to buy the Ricoh?

My point is that most fans would have supported an attempt to purchase - ranson did not see any need to purchase - he only had a short term view.

I support any attempt to purchase, at a fair and reasonable rate whilst acting like a professional businessman. Something that Ranson managed to do much better than Fisher.

Fisher I'm afraid doesn't work like that so I cannot support his actions.

Do you think fisher should be lending the club money and charging a collosal interest rate? Is that your definition if a professional businessman? Wow.

Fisher doesn't have to, his employers does that. But just to humour you, if Ranson did do that (of which I am unsure) from his own personal point of view that was a masterstroke. Sisu funding the club whilst he charges it interest!! As a businessman's main aim is to make money I would say that is very professional.

Fisher has cost CCFC at least £2m this season through his actions alone. Also his actions have cost us 20 pts this year. Very professional.

One discussion made me think about this hypothetical scenario.

If sisu hand given fisher the reign at the start where would we be? I think we'd own the Ricoh and would have experienced premiership football during his tenure.

I think you are posing the wrong question.. some time ago I posted that the club would probably been in a relatively healthy state now if SISU did the cost cutting thing & took a relegation immediately on their arrival. However they did not arrive with that plan & it to some extent it is irrelevant who is in charge, it is the strategy that counts.

The reality is as it is & wishing for something different is just a waste of time.
