Expect first signings in the next few weeks.

Two teams in the play offs last year, one had a wage budget of £1.4m, another over £4m, ours is nearer the £4m.

Trying to reduce costs in other parts of the club to allow funds for playing side.

Don't quote me Reeve but the bit i heard 2-3 hrs ago he inferred that talks with Cranie /Keogh previously had'nt really carried any weight due to the embargo or setting of budget from Sisu so now the "Real", talking can happen.

If it wasn't for the fact I've heard it all before, and that he works for sisu, I would say it sounded quite good.

He tends to. Due to his predecessors (Especially Ken), I don't think he gets a fair shout. I still reserve my judgement. I think, unlike Ken, he
has fairly good intentions, but ultimately, is employed by SISU so has his hands tied!

*Awaits inevitable taunts akin to that of a "scab" during a strike*

Honestly, what a load of sh1te.

Extend the early bird till 30th June so fans can make an informed decision and now expect to make signings at some point in July.

Heard the interview, which was almost a Carbon copy of interview last pre season by the board.

I am not giving them anything.

Ha

Let's face it, they announced an extension of early bird to give fans a choice, and fishers interview almost said there would be no signings in next week or so.

Do tell how you can "make an informed decision" then ?

Nothing has happened except sisu posted some numbers !!

I can hear the stampede to the ticket office....

Oh dear.... informed decision for fans is about signing players at the end of the day.

Not 1 -or 2 but we need 5+ new players

Really ?, that was quick, I thought they would give it a few days before releasing that.

If that's the case, we have a week to wait to hear "we don't just want to sign anyone, they have to improve the squad and fit in with the wage structure"

Then another week until "we nearly signe norwood, but we couldnt stop him going to burnley"

Followed mid July by "were delighted that Jason lee has come out of retirement and joined the ccfc strike force"

got to give them a chance(I would say a def last one), if no one joins and loads leave we know where we stand! If we wheel and deal and get a better stronger squad within budget then maybe we could be on to something this season!

We need actions, he said within the short coming weeks for transfers btw, mainly because players were on holiday!

To be fair, I reckon they were pretty confident of signing Collins and Symes. Had they waited they'd probably have been unvieled yesterday, today or tomorrow.

They're obviously working on plan B now.

Hahahaha 4 million budget.

That would be sufficient but the word gullible and deluded come to mind if anyone thinks this will be the case.

Did the presenter say to him

We may have one of the highest wage bill but it will be on few players. We need more players on less money.

Hence when cranie, mcpake, Keogh go, we should be able to replace them with 5 players and still reduce that 4 million and get a little more depth in the squad. With bigi Willis and rod. I would imagine one for one and maybe a slight reduction on the wage bill. But still a reduction. I take it the 4 million did not include fatswood and clingan.

Different board to last pre-season with no "characters", egos or "most impressive skillsets"

Save your judgement untill August

last years wage budget was supposed to be just over £5m according to the telegraph at the time.

So lose craine, mcpake, keogh, bigi, Willis and rod, and we can get 5 in ?

5 million wage budget

We are losing 500k a month, so that is 6 million a year, so as long as we don't pay any wages, we are only losing 1 million a year !!
