i wonder how much of the reason thorn was sacked was for his refusal to drop the bonus/contract rebels and for actually telling a few not to sign the deal in front of them.

Whoever we will get will be a winner. Fisher sounds pretty angry.

Yeah let's dismiss Shaw without a single thought because we all know he'll be crap at the job don't we even though we have never seen him in the job!!

Things change. But stay the same. For once let's not just go down the easy route.

Maybe we should of kept our better defenders instead of flogging them for a quick buck or saving a few quid in wages.

I thought he might agree with others on here that he was a drunk who cancelled training and had lost the dressing room. Seems not. Hold on, people weren't just making up stuff, were they?

I would like to see an experienced manager too, but it is simply wrong just to dismiss Richard Shaw out of hand. He could be a great manager, who knows.

Where would the likes of your attitude got us when it was suggested Sillett and Curtis as managers all those years back? :thinking about:

He sounds passionate. He's right - a winner with winning mentality. It hasn't been good enough to 'accept' this is it, we're as good as it can be.

We havent got time to mess about and find out though otis,we need to get out of this league this season,we need experience, even a spiv like fisher has at last got his money mad brain into gear and realised this.

Or Butcher, or Neal, or Thorn....it' s easy to quote the one exception when there's been a whole raft of failures. When we desperately need to get out of this league giving the job to someone with zero experience would be a mistake for me. Still, i will support the new man whoever it is.

For once I just want a positive appointment at the club..an appointment that tells the league we are going for gold and our team are lead by a winner and a leader...Richard Shaw for me is not that man

I'm not saying he is. Still wrong to totally dismiss him out of hand though when we have no idea whether he would do well or not.

And it's not as if the manager's we've brought in previously who had experience and have had success elsewhere have been any good for us either is it .... Dowie, Reid, Coleman, Adams!!!

Novice or experience. Had disasters with both, so wrong to dismiss anyone.

Can't hear the interview. Does it sound like Sisu have gambled their last chips on one shot at promotion? If so, that might explain the speed of Thorn's departure...
