The thing is, I don't think any city fan truly agrees with the move even if they do go to the game (there will always be a random exception) and that was proved with the march with how many turned out.

Because I would never call any supporter of any team "sick in the mind and heart" for going to cheer their team. I'm not going, but fair play to those that wish to. If I'm disappointed by any fans then it's the ones on the hill.

So you're disappointed with me for standing on the hill and not watching the game? Why is that exactly?

You've already said you don't watch so no problem with you. I guess you have a blindfold on.

Nope. He is expressing how proud he is at the resolve shown by the vast majority of the SBA in not succumbing to the temptation to say 'Ahh fuck it, we'll just go and watch at Sixfields, I sentiment I agree with entirely.

This team playing at the cobblers ground do not represent the GREAT CITY OF COVENTRY. Instead they have chosen to
play in a small time town called Northampton. It's high time they stopped trading under the name of a CITY they no longer represent. As Northampton 2nd eleven the attendance or result do not interest me. Why should it.

I genuinely don't understand why anyone has a problem with those on the hill. Whilst I'm not a hillite, it seems to me that in many ways their protest is more complete than others (myself included) who simply stay away.

Their protest is saying ''Here we are, supporting the team but refusing to support the owners. Our entrance money is within touching distance yet out of your reach SISU until you bring our team home"

The hillites deserve praise not criticism imo.

I agree Ernie. I don't see why they should be crucified because they watch the game without giving NOPM to SISU.

If they travel to Sixfields, and cheer the team on as best they can (there have been postings that the players have acknowledged them) while still showing protest banners etc., what is wrong with that? If there was no vantage point, some folks probably would still go and protest, while listening to the commentary on the radio/net. So what?

Like others have said, nobody is happy with having to go to Northampton, we all want to be back in Cov...its a shame it is causing animosity between groups of fans. United we stand, but divided we fall.

But then people are being hammered for going into the game, they hold up a big flag saying if you go in you aren't a true fan...

If you want to come on and start picking how literate people are, then when you say "Why should it." it should end in a question mark surely?

I totally agree, it is wrong when it goes both ways but it only seems the people who are giving it either way are bothered which is what annoys me. Some people can stand on the hill shouting scab or saying people are weak (not literally, it could be posting it on here) but then as soon as somebody calls them a muppet it is like a red rag to a bull. It works both ways and people being called a scab saying tramps.

People can do what they want, it is the constant preaching of it that is annoying.

Yes, I saw that banner and IMHO that's wrong. People make their choice, it's their decision. Protesters need to convince those going to not attend with constructive reasoning, not slander or intimidation.

Likewise, stay away fans or protesters need to have similar sympathy for the decision they have made.

Fisher will be laughing his bollocks off the way we are at each others throats.

The only person you've ridiculed is yourself. You no longer have any interest in CCFC, so why are you browsing this forum?

Of course, but when somebody has a go calling somebody illiterate taking the high ground and having spelling and grammar mistakes themselves it's ironic!

So why is somebody weak for not agreeing?

All of this NOPM is not a proven fact it will make the club come back to Coventry is it? There are plenty of options and with how unpredictable SISU have been before, I doubt many of us could guess what they would do. We usually know when it comes to things like this they are a few steps ahead..

Don't usually correct things, but I think Nick meant "You tell me. You want SISU out. Is the only end game them giving in and moving back? I very much doubt that.."

Sorry Nick, but it took me several goes at your version before the penny dropped. Long day at work

P.S. If I got your intended version wrong, please give me a good slap! :slap:

This is a right bitchfest. Anyway back on topic, Tim Fisher is in a position where he has to portray that fans will flock back.

But i dont and thousands more dont agree.

The march in Coventry will speak louder than any attendance figure in Northampton.

That day the fans of CCFC stood up and were counted as one voice.

No matter what your view, we stood as one that day and this should not be forgotten.

Get Coventry back in Coventry ASAP.

TF may well have been told what to say,
but this whole scenario of lost / missing / absent fans is brought about by his continued duplicitous (imho), words,
a huge majority distrust / dislike him,
were this an imminent election i'd doubt he'd get more than 1%
