I didn't hear the interview, but if he said ACL went bust he could be in a whole lot of trouble for that. That's a simply indefensible statement

Very disappointed with TF.

We're supposedly trying to agree a deal and he more than once refers to "ACL going bust". Firstly it's not true, but more importantly these are the people you're supposed to be negotiating with!

The when SL asks about how close they are to mediation (which by the way, is now the magic answer although I don't recall it being mentioned in the last year......), TF says (excuse paraphrase) well, we put it on our website so I'm expecting a call from them early next week.

So ACL who have a court judgement in their pocket are expected to ring up to agree to mediation because TF has posted a message on his website.

I was delighted by the result and now depression has set back in again

Fisher is a bare faced liar, he avoided the questions and his statement saying he would not shake the hands of some of the people in that room, tells you the story. PWKH is a very honest man, I know how the Judge will side with and Peter is known for extremely detailed minutes being the Clerk to the Higgs Charity Trustees for many years. Fisher would not even agree to a mediators recommendations. Bring on Clarke and Labovitch the invisible Directors, Clarke should swear under oath what was agreed in that meeting.

I would love to know how much ACL make every match day from Coventry City - apart from the £10K a match that is.

Matchday Food and drink got to be at least £15-£20k per match. You have all the Food and drink and the burger bars outside also.

There is always a queue for these things. So im guessing they trade well on match day.

just a thought, when ACL say how much of the arrears they expect to be paid off as part of the agreement do they count in the escow money? So say it's £1.5m in arrears is that before or after the £500K?

The escrow is still part of the rental agreement, so it should be replenished.

One of the other things was that he has put the suggestion of mediation up on the CCFC website. If they were really serious wouldn't they put this suggestion directly to ACL rather than just stick it up on the website.

the change was only made because there were murmurs that Yorkshire Bank were going to step in, it wasn't a case of ACL just deciding they wanted a different loan provider. To all intents and purposes it was a bail out, if there weren't any concerns the change wouldn't have been made.

Dave, they did what any business needs to do, ie reduce their costs, because we weren't paying rent. Of course, with small profit margins, the total loss of the income from CCFC was critical o the survival of ACL. Absolutely agree that there were concerns, and it was not sustainable with the standoff, but the council did not 'give' a 14M lump sum to ACL, it is still having to be paid, as per any loan agreement.

' the council bailed out ACL with £14 M'

What bullshit - they took over the mortgage, they did not add £14M to ACL's coffers. The loanor has changed, that's all, - the same way that you or I might change the building society that provides our mortgage, if there is a cheaper deal elsewhere.

Agreed, when did ACL go bust as quoted by Fisher a few minutes ago? must have missed that! Fisher is not very bright, does he not know the difference between going bust and restructuring debt? Worrying he is leading the CCFC Board down a very dark alley. I think you will find ACL's trading position has been secured with some cleaver refinancing, I know who I trust. PUSB forever by never trust someone who can spin such a yarn

Do have to say I was completely behind TF in his talking about us being treated exactly the same as every other football club and that people who buy food and drink at the Ricoh only do so on match days because of the football. No football no revenue.

The point here is they didn't go bust, not that they probably would have. He spoke out of turn there and should apologise IMO.

The rest of it? No problem.

SISU were distressing ACL. Do you know what that means? It means to withhold cash to worsen their position, then rumour-monger to make waves. Just like Fisher did on our own website. Are you happy about him using our clib's website to peddle their own political message? Or just like he's done now, when he's potentially broken the law by saying ACL went bust?

The council stepped in to protect their interest; giving ACL a better rate, and earning money fir the city's taxpayers. Surely that's good? Or would you prefer that interest to go to a bank instead of the council's coffers?

Yes Otis, that is a fair point.

Yet, how much would the club have gained in revenue from the catering if they had agreed a rent deal months ago? Look at the food and drink that was shifted at the JPT game alone? Probably more than the gate receipts!

My thoughts exactly - sisu, let's face it have zero sense of community having completely alienated themselves from one. Clowns.:jerkit::jerkit::jerkit:
Additionally, since when have ACL gone bust?
Must have missed that.
With every utterance these idiots lose any semblance of credibility.

If you want to negotiate, and use a mediator, then you don't try to publicly antagonise the other party .

Negotiations are about gaining trust and confidence, and generating goodwill, particularly when trying to make gains against another party that has a lawful judgement in its favour.

I'd say Fisher needs a third-party if he thinks its wise to defame the other party on the radio. Incredible

But of the revenue taken you need to pay for the food, the staff, the power to cook the food - there's not a lot of profit in match pies!!!

Yorkshire Bank brought in Deloitte, they owed money to them. You don't bring a company like that in if there is not a financial problem. They could not afford to pay their lenders. The council them loan them the money on very good rates to help them (a council run organisation ??) . It's not a case of looking for a better mortgage. They were bailed out before it came public that Yorkshire Bank would put them into admin.

Hold on...........

I thought the board were supposed to have financial / business acumen. If he is admitting they do not maybe we need a new board, perhaps Deloitte would like to put forward some of their staff.

The man is a joke.
