It looks like the makings of an exit plan to me, with the spokesman Fisher playing down the prospects of any improvement of our dire circumstances.a couple of weeks ago he was bullish, or should that read
Bull shitish, about our the clubs objectives, now he's been instructed to stop "Bigging Up" our prospects about a push for promotion, and to prepare ourselves for another bumpy ride, this may be a veiled admission that they're done, and are looking to blame, ACL, Higgs trust, the fans, the council for the terminal decline of "The Sky blues", rather than admitting that they got cold feet shortly after the takeover, and refused to invest the amount of
funding required, to build a successful Football club.
Never once since the takeover, Has Sisu Finance expressed any desire to reinstate The Sky Blues to their former glory with any serious conviction, their main plan in my opinion was to obtain some or all of the arena, to cream off the considerable revenue streams that it generated, would these Monies be used to build a Team? well we all have different level of trust towards sisu, and have to form our own opinions on our enigmatic Saviours intentions.
But for me it was the STADIUM they wanted to get their hands on, CCFC was just some unfortunate baggage that came with it.

I don't see how Thorn expressing he has a list of players he'd like to try and get in the hopeful eventuality the transfer embargo is lifted makes him (oh how I love this phrase) a "SISU puppet"?!

Fisher's a moron, he's blurted out something after the final game that he couldn't promise and now looks even more stupid. But it does seem just like another public bargaining tactic, which I'm really starting to get tired of.

Don't think he's a puppet as such, but the board did choose him for a reason.

1. He was the cheap option

and

2. He won't make waves. We've had that one little wobble but alll seems to be forgotten and forgiven on that front and it's all apparently back to the norm.

Who on here doesn't think AT will come out and say "We'll just have to get on with it?"

I hope he does. I would be having thinly veiled digs at the owners all season long.

Don't mind him saying 'we'll just have to get on with it but it's going to be very tough,' but don't want him to be saying 'we'll just have to get on with it but we feel can be pushing for the top 6.'

This squad, no additions, one or two sold, will only result in a struggle. Surely we all recognise that don't we?

I just don't get why people find that a bad thing though? He's got a job and keeps in line because of that job. It's not exactly double agent treachory is it!

I hate these stories also. This is something that doesn't need to be said in public, it's just scaremongerin and trying to get a reaction from the powers that be. I'd rather sit back and see what happens when there's real news to come out, something concrete about our future.

Key here though is the comment 'But assuming Thorn is given a competitive budget this summer, he’s confident they can bounce back at the first time of asking.'

No one should expect we we will be able to return to the Championship immediately, we are only allowed to spend 65% of our turnover on wages - last year's wage bill several million more than entire turnover, can only buy in players if revenue streams with stadium and rent reduction in place, new revenue needs to come from elsewhere too, no takeover he knows of with substance. All sounds grim and nothing at all like he was spouting after Doncaster game. But all is ok, as Joy wants to release some of a dead club to the fans and because we have a loyal fan base...season ticket sales are up on this time last year! So we are asked to follow the relegated squad from last year full of youth, with the wage bill slashed by millions and no additions whilst not even thinking about a promotion push any time soon. Pressure on ACL or the truth and more destruction ahead?!?!

How can any business be successful if

- it doesn't know its budget
- it doesn't monitor its cost to the extent that its plans change almost weekly
- it doesn't seem to have a plan as to what it is trying to achieve, continually down grading to match cost cutting
- it continually seeks to place responsibility on others while singularly failing to perform itself
- it has no planned investment
- its focus is on shrinking costs and achieving income growth by blackmail
- it reacts so slowly to problems known for years and still fails to address them properly or fund the changes
- it seemingly has Board members saying one thing in public another in private
- it relies on the support of its clients but fails to deliver on product
- it relies on the community and social spirit of other organisations to paper over its own lack of business fundamentals
- it fails to adequately, consistently and clearly communicate with the stadium stake holders and the fans
- it fails to have good internal communication among senior management and the agents for the investors/loans

I want a successful club ..... that actually doesn't necessarily mean champions but one that wins more than it loses would do...... but given what is backing the team up off the pitch (see above) I struggle to see how that can be achieved. Feel driven ever closer to giving up on something I have supported for 45 years !

Clearly TF & co really do not understand how important proper communication and trust are in this situation. Coming out with the right sound bites on radio or in press isn't it, if 3 weeks later it is seemingly contradicted by the very same people. Trust and belief in what is being done are the bedrock of achieving anything at CCFC

Complete mess ..... and once again our club relies on the goodwill of the Council, The Higgs Charity and most importantly the supporters for its very survival because the owners & directors are not up to the job.

DK or the Prince Are you both now still sticking by you Chinese take away storys or do you both ghost write for the telegraph sports department! Sisu are playing a tough negotiating game which is what they are renowned for thats why Sepalla is now involved. I would hate SISU to end up with any part of the ground and feel the council is being pushed into a corner and black mailed with the club going out of existence for them to secure the purchase. As landlords the council has the right to throw out the club but they know this is going to lead to extinction for the sky blues as we know it. Question to the forum then is would you support a reformed club playing at the ricoh if the league would let a new owner take us under a slightly differant name retaining its current status. PUSB

I know some people seem to distrust Richard Keys

However he said I cant talk about what SISU as people either accuse me of scaremongering or say that I am falsely getting their hopes up.

However when asked about Tim's comments above regarding getting a budget to bounce back and that there are no other options, the last thing he said was just "let them keep talking they are making it worst for themselves".

So looks like he is right about the budget and bouncing back lets just hope he was right about alternatives!

SISU so far then

1) take over club save it from administration by 20 minutes. AT the time coventry were 11th administration would have out them 4 points in the relegation zone and looking for a new owner. Most likeley before getting a new owner we would have lost most of our top players.

SISU saved the day prevented relegation, prevented sale of players, promised promotion in 3 years and that they would own half the stadium

5 years later Gunnarson, Westwood, Turner, Juke, King, Clingan, Mcindoe, Carsley, Fox, Dann (was Best sold during SISU?) released/ sold
Opportunity to sign Henderson, Carrol Cork rejected . Keogh Cranie McPake to go

Signed Murphy, Dunn, Bell, Baker, McPake, Wood, Clingan, Platt, Sheff, Keogh, Cody, Hussey, Deegan, ROD

I am sure there will be the odd one I have missed

Achievement after 5 years Relegation, Not owning half the stadium and most our best players sold

Which is what most of us said. Remaining in the Championship was vital and we weren't asking for AT to be given much in terms of a transfer budget to achieve that aim.

Just two more players may have made all the difference.
