Hope they're not televised, might hit attendances. Bit annoyed at the early kick-offs too, means i'll have to be out of bed and down the pub much earlier than i'd like!TWO of Coventry City's fixtures for the 2011/12 npower Championship season have been re-arranged.
The Sky Blues' home clashes with Leicester City and Birmingham City have now been scheduled for the following times subject to being selected for televising.
City will still kick off the season against Leicester City on Saturday, August 6 but now at the revised kick-off time of 12.30pm.
The Sky Blues' home clash with Birmingham City also remains on Saturday, March 10 but will kick off at the revised time of 12.30pm.
Correct you are! That's less bad news i guess. I followed a link from twitter and didn't re-read the page properly, well spotted! Its the brum home game on march 10th that's changed the away fixture against them is still 3pm as of yet.
ps It won't be televised. How many games will be live that weekend? 1? 2 max? West Ham v Cardiff is a definite and then either Derby v Brum or Southampton v Leeds will all be prioritised over our game.
Why? saints/leeds bigger than cov fester i think not......and derby ha!!
Mate, nobody cares about the M69 derby outside of Coventry and Leicester, or come to think of it within Coventry either given that we normally take, what, 1,500-odd to the Walkers?
We are not seen nationally as being a big club. Look at the odds for winning the league, aren't we 80/1 (the 5th longest odds in the whole division)? ie the bookies reckon we will struggle this season.
in the last 5 season's we haven't finished above 17th.
So yes, Southampton v Leeds is a bigger game.
If the City game is on it will be because of the Sven factor and little to do with us.
And I don't enjoy typing this, in fact it depresses the crap out of me, but it's all true.

Gutted - I'm still on holiday and will miss the Leicester game.
That means a very early start to get to the Ricoh from Dorset - no beer the night before!
Last time that we were on TV against Fester Sky were all over it calling it the M69 derby and promoting the rivalry. Sky are masters at bigging up any game no matter how big or small. All they need to do is a few features on Sky Sports News in the week before building up to the game talking about past games and summer transfers and as Leicester are expected to have a few 'big' signings it will be David V Goliath or Rich v Poor or something stupid.
I said earlier on another thread that the Leicester game is definitely on TV. I found this information out this morning.
I can see the adverts now...
The hot new season kicks off with Sven taking his mega rich Foxes to the Ricoh to take on inexperienced Andy Thorn's new look Sky Blues... blah blah blah...
