Fantastic to get a couple decent performances and wins right before a very tough run of games.

Let’s smash it and hit top 6 by the end of this month.

We need to get 3 points against Derby at home and we’ve hit form. Sunderland I’ll take a point but just seen Bellingham got a straight red today so will miss the game against us.

Was it violent conduct? Sometimes a straight red is only 1 game.

They haven't beaten us since 2007. We're their bogey team.

Not worried about who plays for them. Let them worry about us.

Got to keep feet on the ground but if we beat Derby I can see us beating Sunderland, we’ve been a bit of a bogey team for them like we have Boro.

Of course then the break will come along and blow up any momentum we’ve built. Two really tough games against Sheff Utd and Burnley, I really hope we beat Sheff Utd. After that there’s only West Brom and Millwall above us that we play before the New Year.

If we’ve turned a corner we should be looking at picking up points in most games until the window opens then who knows?

Unless you're going for top 2, it's all about muddling along picking up points where you can, and then going on little runs of winning 3 out of 4 (4 out of 4 last season dragged us from the bottom to back in contention). So, 3 points from the next 2, more would be a bonus, should propel us comfortably into midtable, and one more similar run off getting into playoff contention.

On paper, the Christmas period looks like a great opportunity to do this. Portsmouth away, Plymouth & Millwall at home then Cardiff away NYD - win 3 of those and we'll be right back up there. Just need to maintain fairly average form before and after then.

Another nice little run towards the end, finish strongly and that should get us top 6. It's just about riding waves of momentum when you have them, and then scratching together as many points as you in-between these phases

In theory. But the Championship doesn’t work like that. For evidence see our last two results. It’s a lottery. A slugfest. Tiny margins make the difference
