I'd love to stroll around in a City shirt over here.
People tend to get curious as most of them won't recognize it and when you explain it to them, they always ask why I did not choose a "big" club like ManU or Chelsea...

How come you did choose Cov? Always interested to know what the attraction is to those not forced into it!! Unless you were?

I always travel in my City shirt. Sadly, the farthest I get is usually Caister!

We did go to Brighton for our honeymoon last year!

Caister Top? Go through it frequently. Next time I know of will be about 7 weeks. Spend time at the cider farm.

Not me. Would get wrecked doing my job, but do bump into holiday makers sometimes. Missis don't like me going out in Cov top so don't wear mine as much as I like, but always stop anyone wearing one.

There is a story that when in the far east a Cov fan noticed that the blokes selling replica division 1 shirts all wore Coventry tops. Eventually he went across to one of them and tried to discover why all the shirt sellers wore Coventry tops.

The answer ? Apparently they were the ones that they couldn't sell.

I've been to HR years ago as I was in England for some football.
I liked the ground, the fans, the team and the city somehow and "fell in love" with City.
And I stuck with City, then.

When I first came to Sydney in 2000 I noticed that fake replica Cov City shirts were being sold in shops that are a slight step up from PoundLand.

I was baffled at first as to why they were being sold next to Liverpool, Man Utd and Celtic tops.

The only thing I can come up with is that the Aussies must have been proud of John Aloisi being a Premiership player?

Although, that was the season that we came down

My ex girlfriend (a yank) noticed a City fan in a bar where she lives in Pittsburgh. After a few drinks she decided she'd impress him by singing the sky blue song.

and the rest, as they say, is history. They fell in love, she dumped me and had his pups and I was left to buy my own air ticket home........that's why she's my Ex!:slap:

What a great thread.
iI in New Orleans and in a taxi, noticed a Cov Shirt on the street, shouted "Sky Blue Army" out the window and he shouted back same back with his mate, everyone else in the street ducked as thought it was a fight breaking out.

Just think if you gone instead to Manchester or Liverpool to watch a game, before you had come to us ,how your life would be oh so much easier.
I don't like blaming my Dad for taking me as a young boy, but it was his fault and even though he's dead ,if he was here he could'nt argue with it, and that is a fact.

Neither of those has ever been a choice for me !
Same why I'll never understand how people can follow Bayern Munich over here.
Without the feeling of suffering, you'll never be a proper football fan !
