So, from today, films out at the cinema at present, are available for immediate streaming. Ball park price seems to be £15.99.

Seems fair enough perhaps. I did think it seemed a little steep at first, but if two of you went to the cinema it would cost more than that.

Anyway, my real question is, should I even bother considering it due to the fact they are all only in SD?

The difference on my TV between HD and SD is really noticeable. Huge difference in quality.

I think this is a good idea in principle and I do understand why they are only streaming in SD, but I can't really see it catching on for that very reason. £16 for average quality at best.

Everyone agree?

Netflix are reducing quality also.

Trying to reduce bandwidth.

Yeah, get that, but the difference is really palpable.

Just can't see it being worth it.

Never ever done that. Seen clips on the internet though and they look poor, the sound especially.

If you are going to go for it, I recommend you go for Amazon Prime rather than Sky Store.

Invisible Man - £15.99 at both Sky and Amazon, but Sky is only SD and Amazon is HD.

I thought the Invisible Man was a great movie.
