When they announced that I thought it was a terrible idea but the trailer looks really good.

Few decent looking comic book adaptions coming up, Suicide Squad, XMen Apocalypse, Doctor Strange and Captain America Civil War. Then there's the Independence Day sequel which could be terrible and another Star Trek Film.

Also want to see Louis Theroux's scientology movie. Not sure if that's in cinemas or straight to home release. Know they've been showing it at some film festivals to a good response.

And there's some thing called Star Wars coming out at Xmas. Trailer looks good. The director is from Nuneaton.

Is there ever going to be a "Titanic 2"? I think it's the heart-warming story about a ship that comes up from the bottom of the Atlantic and rescues a couple of thousand drowning people.

I was thinking the same thing It looks like it is very much targeted at the first person gamer (which is a huge audience) but I think I will go see it just because it looks very different, has to be seen on the big screen by all accounts.

interesting you say this, opinions are opinions after all.
Are you a nerd to this genre ?

It appears marvel and now dc are really making movies for the 'deeper ' routed comic story Fans, Superman vs Batman really dug deep into dc folk law and now marvel seem to be getting down into deeper waters with their story telling.
I see them both losing Fans of the earlier lightweight story telling , I'm I proper nerd when it comes to exploring the deeper meanings and story's so they're playing into my hands .
The first captain America movie could have been much deeper imo , but then would have failed straight off, the superman movies are testament to this , they've hit the extended universe from the off and have already alienated a Good percentage of Fans

Probably why I didn't like it ... Never read a dc or marvel comic in my life ... Out of all the marvel/dc films I think the best one is guardians of the galaxy

Hell yes. This had the correct Balance of folklore and casual story telling.
The director is the world heavyweight of nerd , but is totally respectful to those that is not . You can tell he knows his shit.
The Humor was of the highest variety too, it's the marvel movie i've watched most often.
From the early reports it does sound that the next guardians is going to get deeper tho so brush up on your folklore lol

Only just got around to watching The Big Short.

It's a brilliant movie but the dialogue was drowned out half the time by the overloud music and surround effects.

It was predictable, can see why it is on Netflix along with the random Danny Dyer films and not in the Cinema.

Pretty much knew what was going to happen at the end and the other bit in the middle (where they actually did what they were pretending).

I do like Gervais, with things like Derek, The Office etc but just didn't enjoy it It wasn't funny.

To be fair, it is on Netflix because it is a Netflix production, Nick. Could just have easily been brilliant.

Been some brilliant Netflix original programmes these past few years.

Watched it last night. Enjoyed it, I mean its not going to win any oscars and was fairly predictable but certainly watchable.

Yep, just watched it. A lot of the jokes fall flat, but the humourous moments that worked, worked really well. Also liked the premise and thought it was played out really well.

A passable afternoon's entertainment. No great shakes, but not dreadful.
