According to the odds I've seen, City are the fifth most likely team to be promoted this season. Do you think that this is realistic? Will we do a Southampton/Norwich, or, more pessimistically, a Luton Town?
Lets not fool ourselves its a relegation battle with our current team. I would like to see us invest and go fighting for the top half. We really don't need that much investment to take us back up.
with current squad mid table realistically, maybe play off place if all players sta injury free. 3 good quality signings has to see play offs as very reaslitic, and 5 or more decent signings we have to be looking at automatic promotion!!!
The core of the team (or rather, the first choice 11), I'd be happy with as top half/play off contenders. That we have nothing else beyond that core tells me that we will come horribly unstuck when a few injuries take effect and, if we stay lucky with injuries, burn out in the closing stages is an inevitability. If we retain the core group and add sufficiently to it there's no reason why we couldn't expect a good season; if we don't, we have to pray that the players we still have keep fit long enough to keep us out of trouble.

Needs to be some movement regarding this current squad, not enough goals or experience as it is now..Im sure 3-4 out and 7-8 in with some loans during the season and we could challenge top 10....
