I'd be more worried about standing in the rain than the burgers TBH.

Ive said several times i'm not a Vegan, i'm not even a Veggie, seems like you are the one with a problem!

I feel guilty about the fucked state of factory farming but am not wealthy enough to buy decent free range stuff.

Id definitely rather chips and curry sauce over a mechanically reclaimed battery chicken pie (but i totally buy those when i go to the ricoh as im a massive hypocrite with low self control!)

You're the one that started having a go at it unprovoked. If you don't want an argument don't start one.

It's the vegan burgers that make me really want to go to an away match for once.

Actually had a vegan burger the other day and it was really nice. Just thought I would try one to see what it tasted like and it was surprisingly good.

Pieminster have just released a vegan pie which is fantastic - mushrooms and onions in a red wine sauce.

Thinking about it im not even sure the away end has a food outlet! they might have a shed set up i guess :? when they put the away fans in behind the goal they had a small breeze block outlet but ive not been up since they came into the same league as Cov (would just feel wrong)

Anyone bitching about the veggie food, go and have a Linda McCartney mozzarella burger.

Incredible.

Ever tried veggie food? A lot of it tastes the same as meat.

Yup.

Remember this avid meat eater who was always deriding veggie food even though he never tried it. I gave him some Quorn 'chicken' nuggets and he swore blind it WAS chicken!

I have to disagree. My wife is a veggie...we'll pescatarian anyway. Since we've been together I've eaten a lot more fish. But to your point, the Quorn mince is ok...I'd happily have the in a Bolognese or lasagne as there's not much difference in that.

The 'chicken' and 'steaks' though....just like cardboard. For me any way.

I'm convinced that by the time we go to our graves, I'll tempt her with a proper bacon sandwich but she's having none if it!

For the obvious reason (in my case anyway) that they want the taste but not the cruelty.

I used to love chicken and bacon especially.

I think they said they do, do chicken and fish in the corporate. Do understand your point though.

Maybe could push the vegan theme and have just a little bit of meat on the menu, i.e. the reverse of what usually happens, which is loads of meat dishes and just a couple of vegetarian choices.

I was just joking Otis. I'm looking forward to trying it, it's something different.
Think I should be able to go one game without eating something that was scraped off the abattoir floor!

Ah! I see now, my mistake it never crossed my mind about the cruelty. i thought a vegan did not like meat so it must be vegetarians that don't like meat then

Some don't I don't think. Can only speak for myself. I loved the taste of meat and bacon was one of my very favourites. Used to love KFC.

I stopped eating meat after watching a documentary on how animals are bred and raised and slaughtered and it brought me to tears. I quit there and then.

Very much a personal decision for me, but I make no bones (no pun intended) about everyone else having their own personal choice and I never ever sneer or look down, or tut at anyone who is a meat eater and I never push the veggie agenda either.

My daughter has two or three times said she has wanted to be a vegetarian and I have kind of put her off and told her to make a decision a bit later in her life.

It all seems rather half-hearted of her to be honest. She never truly and sincerely pushes for it.
