I struggle to see how the move to Sixfields impacted on the sponsorship deals?? Plus then there is NOPM which was banded about the beginning of the season, of course you could (knowing you, you're more likely too argue it) argue that Sisu are at fault for these as well.

Yet it's still amazing as Michael was sounding off about their being no real investment in the team, yet he expects the owners to continue to pump their own money into a bottomless pit, just in fact like Pre-Sixfields.. Funny that.

Moving to Sixfields will have significantly impacted on sponsorship deals for multiple reasons

Firstly the sponsorship is normally about getting more people to see the company name and increase brand recognition, If the average crowd over the season is 4k instead of 10k then obviously the amount of money you are willing to offer for that sponsorship will drop considerably, if the sponsor is wanting to specifically target people from the Coventry area then this effect is magnified as the number of people from the Coventry area we have played in front of has fallen by a much higher percentage then the actual number of people we've played in front off.

Now obviously there is benefit to the sponsors when we are on tv and this part of the sponsorship is significantly less affected than the previous bit, this and the massive number of arsenal fans we were playing in front of is why we were easily able to obtain a shirt sponsor for that game.

Not only does a sponsor want brand recognition though they also want positive recognition, being the sponsor of coventry football club normally will make Coventry fans feel more positively about you and make you more likely to use their products, this season however sponsors were seen as supporting the villain and so there is significantly less positivity gained from being a sponsor and actually worse a large amount of negativity, we saw people write to our sponsors saying we aren't going to use your products while you are supporting sisu in their move to northampton.

Finally and this is more speculative presumably sponsorship and corporate hospitality often goes hand in hand? you sponsor the club, you get a box, you take clients out for a day at the football with a nice meal, this is now way less attractive for all businesses and for Coventry based businesses even more so.

Many revenue streams have been hurt by the move to sixfields other than the obvious ticket sales, sponsorship (player/shirt/matchday/boards/club partners etc) hospitality, merchandising (shirts/programmes/clothes/memorabila etc)

personally I don't insist sisu invest in the team, I insist Sisu Fuck off, but I retain the right to criticise when they sell our most important players and replace with second and third choice loans who come with serious risks/have other priorities/or simply don't care for the club at all. I accept that with tiny revenue and an attractive package to players this is the best they can do, but that is there fault pure and simple.

Which was the damn point I made to Michael at the beginning of this stupid thread:

RoboCCFC90 said:
Considering that during any January Transfer Window there isn't many players on the market as no Club want's to sell any player because they have to much to fight for, Promotion, Play-Offs, Consolodation, Survival, etc and the type of players that teams want aren't avaliable, espcially strikers that can score goals, as you saw with Leon Clarke City would have inflated his Transfer Value just to try and put Clubs off, unfortunately for us Leon forced his move.

We could have gone out and splashed the £750,000 Leon fee on any old player, but no loans are free, we would have paid a small fee to bring in the players we have on loan and they're decent quality but unfortunately we have just not had luck on our side when it comes to strikers.

We couldn't go out in January and get the replacement used by the sale of Leon and the Arsenal game for many reasons:

A) We only got Leon's Transfer Fee on 30/01/14, by then 30 days of the window have passed already and most players who would of been worth signing have gone elsewhere.
B) It's rare you pick up players in January unless you pay over the odds for these players, an example of this would be Nahki Wells who went to Huddersfield for £1,500,000, we don't have tht type of money from both the Arsenal Fixture and Leon's fee.
C) s I just pointed out in B) player's prices are inflated in the Window to prevent activity because every Club is trying to reach it's on aspirations.
D) The type of player we required we wasn't any old Tom, Dick or Harry meaning we could have gone out and blown £500,000 on Rhys Murphy (who was linked at the time), but yet if it goes wrong who are people going to blame?

All that's lovely. And excuses are nice. But ultimately all of this was known before. We could've done the deal earlier as Clarke wanted out from the start of the window. We could've had irons in the fire. We could've worked with Leon to see if there was a deal to keep him until the end of the season.

All of that doesn't matter. Long story short is it's Sisu's job along with Pressley to plan for the season and we didn't.

We've been short of strikers all year Rob. We've been claiming we're after strikers all year. Yet the only ones who emerge are random loanees.

Really not sure how the Clarke situation is any different from McG last year, except that then we actually handled it.

Well I've a novel idea about investment in the team, why don't Sisu/Otium take the latest rental deal at the Ricoh (to save money and probably make some), once back at the Ricoh pay the charity the money they said they would pay, then buy the Higgs share for around the value it was offered before or whatever slight inflation is felt by them which would then give them access to revenue streams (if nothing else but to shut you up) and then finally with the 20 million left over by not having to build Legoland (which they said they have) use some of that to buy some decent players and offer longer contracts to the ones we have and want to keep like Moussa and Wilson. At least then I wouldn't have to listen to some on here blaming Cov fans for Sisu/Otium not investing in the team (which I find disgusting).

More nonsense. I have asked several questions myself but have had no answers. I never avoid questions - a myth by the number of trolls from the council on here - or is it just a couple with multi identities?

I'd be thrilled with that scenario Gent I really would and even gave it a like, you're also right it would shut me up, it's not about shutting me up, I just think the Club should have access to the revenue's it generates, of course I'd like Sisu to pay for this, me and Noggin have been debating on previous threads recently where either Sisu take a deal to go back and then buy the higgs and then at a latter stage the remaining 50% share of ACL.

I don't think money will be behind Moussa's departure should he go.

We could have done the Clarke deal beforehand the issue with that was CCFC wanted more than what they had got for him and were convinced if they held out they'd get the problem being with that was Leon was making things even more difficult from his own perspective leaving CCFC no option. We obviously had irons in the fire and they obviously didn't materialise due to the time we spent trying to see out the Leon deal, I think the one business Pressley wanted throughout the whole window was to keep Leon and we couldn't manage it.

All year? Do you mean per season calendar or since the turn of 2014, because no one was saying we were short when Leon and Callum were on their hot streak with Manset in reserve?

Leon and McG's situations are different entirely, one player was seduced by the opportunity of playing for his hometown Club (can't blame Leon for that) and one saw us as a stepping stone to reignite his career, McG never had any intention IMO of staying, everyone knew he was Championship quality.

It wasn't irrelevant and I wasn't the only person to comment on that? It was on topic as it was about this post:

The problem is Mark some people i.e Michael want things both ways, how can CCFC go out and spend £3,000,000 with everything taken into account, it's a ramble with no sense or thought. It's just another dig to highlight the point he is trying to make.

Which you replied:

No I agree. The fans aren't turning up at sixfields, so it is definitely our fault that there is a lack of investment in the team. Silly me.

to which I said:

So you don't seen the irony about campaigning to not give SISU any money and then moaning about them not spending any money on the team?

I wouldn't say that is manipulative? It was what some of the thread was about? it wasn't about whether Michael has replied to my queries which you soon turned it around to? Trying to manipulate??????

No, you asked if I had sent the emails because you thought it would make me look a dick for saying I will do something which I hadn't as that was totally unrelated to the thread so you manipulated the topic onto that.
