Only hindsight will tell us that.

The fact clearly is despite the nonsense spouted on here the likes of Liverpool Spurs and Arsenal were not in the slightest bit interested in him.

He has played 20 games.

As for him of course he would go. He only has to look at a certain loanee and realise if he hadn't signed for Newcastle where would he be now.

A lot poorer for a start.

People are actually criticising a player for going to Norwich. You sometimes only get one chance in life and you grab it.

It's the one offer he had. Even that might not be there in the summer.

It's a good move for him and if it goes well there they will sell him to a bigger club, I think Spurs were interested as Pleat watched him a lot of times.

grendel, many people on here believe that you are not a CCFC fan, also your blind hatred of Bigirimana is embarrasing, what CCFC fans witnessed today is nothing short of a shoddy way of conducting business, more fans lost through abysmal financial mis-management

But did so 5/6 hours before the deadline. At least if we sold him at midday we could've bought someone with the cash in the bank.

I am sure the club would have known hours ago also.

If we sold him at lunchtime, would that mean running about spending the money for the sake of it?

It is hard to say without seeing into the future. He can either be a Bigi or a Wilson. I remember when Bigi went people were outraged and saying how he would be a £30m player or something stupid like that.

If he hadn't gone this window I think he would have gone in the summer / winter next year.

I'm not that outraged, we did ok without him this season.

2 million! What with all the potential suitors and another 2yrs on contract?? Me thinks our owners got offered cash up front and decided to short change everyone else!

At least for now. It seems Liverpool and Spurs were interested in having another look in the summer. We however seemed keen to sell him now.

You keep saying that Nick.when I watched us play Burton I didn't see any player worth more than 350,000 just a collection of average L1 players organised into an effective team.

Players always will be sold to bigger or better positioned clubs that is the business, that will not upset fans as most will understand the need for clubs to do so. What will upset fans is the fact that we have made progress on the field which in turn has seen crowds getting better with the hope that the club had started to listen and understand how this business works.

After 8 years of this shit the owners after begging fans to go back after showing signs of life have took at the last minute money for the brightest young talent we have. TM has sounded pissed off for a few weeks now even sounding resigned when losing matches, aswell as stating losing your best players is not how to build a squad good enough to compete.

The fans have been let down again and sadly these owners do nit deserve support or are to be believed that they want success, TM will be pissed off 6 loans, more than a few at the wrong age to last next season and very few players on long term contracts to the club, what's left? will we have enough money for TM to compete at the top end. A complete rebuild is needed with not a great deal to spend i would imagine. I think its a sad day for the club, but lets face it not the 1st time its felt like this being a cov fan.

I thought he was their most dangerous player. £350k is a bargain for him I think. JFH picked him up out of dutch non league and chucked him straight into League One and he did a job.

nick, the fact that burton sold their best player for 350k is totally irrelevant, because someone there is financially myopic is of no concern to CCFC fans,
what concerns CCFC fans is that they feel they have been shafted yet again, & under sisu it's a bi-annual occurence

Of course it is relevant, because a League one team selling players to teams in leagues above isn't just CCFC is it?

People now see this is as a reason to get angry as we haven't had one for a while, we coped fine without Maddison earlier on in the season.

OR the fact is that is how football works nowadays? Like it or not, it is far from just CCFC.

It is going to be some sort of competition to see who can be the most angry over Maddison going, get some outrage going. It is about time to start throwing about some incorrect facts to get the anger REALLY going. Roll out the PSB group.

If you have ambition and the tools off the field to compete at a higher level you don't sell your best players. You use them to build and attract others who then believe the club is going places, this is not a good deal now for this club sends the wrong message to all.

No, I am saying it because it isn't just us who have sold a player. People seem to think it is only ever CCFC / SISU who sell players when in League One.
