February Fixtures (1 Viewer)

Just looking at February's fixtures, I think they are all winnable games:

Ipswich (H)
Reading (A)
Leeds (H)
Forest (A)
Barnsley (H)

Toughest game is probably Reading away but taking a big crowd so will boost the team. Could this be the month that turns our season around?

If we can be tight at the back and put the ball in the net more all the games for the rest of the season are winnable. Whether we can do or not is another matter.

Play with the passion etc we showed on Saturday then you never know.

Before somebody says it - Middlesbrough only had 10 men - these are normally the times when winning is harder as the opposition normally up their game.

3 must wins at home and 1 point at Forest , at Reading no points , means 10 points wich would be great !!:claping hands:

Ipswich & Barnsley are must win games. Forest is a must not lose, I don't expect anything out of Reading & Leeds so anything is a bonus from them 2.

Maybe one of our whizzkids on here could do some number crunching for us and do an objective projection for the rest of the season ,based on our improved current form ,and also compare how the points are shaping up at the top of the league in relation to previous totals with a view to showing the effect on the rest of the league ie;when there have been 2 teams running away with it ammassing over 100 points like Reading did the other year.

Theres this to start with, although I think its based on the last 8 games

I said this yeaterday that I thought they're all winnable. Looking through them it's the one's we expect more from I'm more apprehensive about. Ipswich and Forest are extremely important games (as are the rest but those 2 are important to keep those teams near us).

Looking at the fixtures for all the teams in and around the relegation zone, February could see some big changes in league positions. We will need some luck and a continuation of Saturday's form, but at the end of February, things could look a lot brighter.

19 games left
8 wins = 24
6 draws = 6
5 defeats
30 more points = 52 total

A tall order but do able. Win 5 or 6 of the 9 at home + 2 or 3 away out of 10, a few draws....and we would probably stay up.
Phoenix from the ashes and blitz spirit time.
We need the fans to SUPPORT and stop the whinging.
