I just realised that I left out Gary McAllister which really is unforgivable

And who could forget Michael Quirke

Could cover GK and CB on the bench.

Not that I remember. He played when Westwood informed us that he wasn't renewing his contract and we were inevitably safe with a couple of games to go and nothing to play for

Going full Mike Bassett tactics....

Gk. Westwood

Rb. MVE
Lb. Fox
Cb. Fadz
Cb. Big Mo

Rm. Thompson
Lm. Mcsheffrey
Cm. Gunnarson
Cm. Hamer

St. Adebola
St. Gyokeres

Don't think big mo or dele are technically the best in those positions, but loved watching those guys. Defenders would come away a bit bruised having played against them 2 up front

A strike partnership shop of Dele and Vik would be devastating pure power going forward

For me 442

Gk - Westwood
RB - MVE
CB - Fadz
CB - Big Mo
LB - Fox
RM - Thompson
CM - Safri
CM - Hamer
LW - McSheffery (from before we sold him to Birmingham)
ST - Vik
ST - Mifsud

Quite a lot of recency bias I think

GK- Marosi
LB- Maatsen
CB- Thomas
CB- McFadzean
RB- Van Ewijk
CDM- Vincelot
CM- Gunnarsson
CM- O'Hare
LW- Wright
ST- Gyokeres
RW- Sakamoto

Subs/special mentions
- Callum Wilson
- Cranie
- Hamer
- Armstrong
- Grimmer
- Allen
- Fleck
- Simms
- Godden
- Simon Moore (for that one season he was great)
- Michael Doyle
- Walsh
- Moussa

Westwood
Milan Dann Konjic Warnock
Gunnarsson Vincelot Hamer Sheffers (pre Brum)
VIk McGoldrick

Wasn't sold on McGoalDrought when we signed him but he was a class above anyone else in the league during his loan spell with us. 17 goals in 25 games (16 in 22 in the league)

I really wanted McGoldrick to stay ... But didn't we sign Leon Clarke because McGoldrick wouldn't join permanently. Not a bad trade

Stern John was a great finisher. When we played him with a partner (Adebola) with McSheffrey wide left, that was probably the best forward line we had in that first 13 years in the Championship before going down to League 1

McGoldrick’s signing photo is one of the all-time greats. The phrase “over the moon” springs to mind.
