Cyrille 4-3 Spurs, Haji v Wolves and Torp v Man Utd for Cov.

These 2 for other goals-the 2nd one for the iconic celebration.

Take a look at this video, 'glenn hoddle chip v watford'

Always preferred Davies to Motson, but Motty’s demented commentary of the final goal here from 4:27 in is glorious

Not my favourite (and I can’t actually find it) but haven’t seen Jamie Allen’s goal against Bristol Rovers (I think). Where we made about 112 consecutive passes in the build up.

Don’t think I watched a single game of this tournament owing to England’s non involvement.
Was at Wembley for the qualifier against Denmark late 1983 that all but sealed any chance for qualification.

Spurs v Coventry City 08-02-1986

City beat Spurs 1-0 with Cyrille scoring probably his most ‘Cyrille type goal’ for us. Absolutely freezing and I believe only one of 2 games played in London that day. Those were the days when away fans all knew each other as we weren’t the best supported. Also great days with the Bedworth lads, many not with us now . Always remember this goal.

a belter from Nuddy, and Mick Harford cementing a 1 in 1 legacy.

Also good of Mickey Quinn to make sure the kids on Swan Lane had a ball for their kickabout at school the next day.

Thanks for posting this. I was amongst the couple of hundred Coventry fans at this game, another Lloyd McGrath masterclass & he marked Glenn Hoddle out of the game.

I’m with CovMark. Hamer at Wembley was off the charts for a million different reasons - never known a feeling like that.

They'd both be flagged by by var, wouldn't they?

Offside?

No, because they were onside when the ball was played to the goalkeeper.

Loved this Matty Godden goal in league one, where Jordan Shipley backheeled it to him on the volley ?
Great kit too.
