Personal one, wasn't even the best he scored for us but Biamou bicycle kick Vs Cheltenham when we pumped them 1-6. I had snuck in the home end, had kept it fairly incognito but when he pulled that off me and about 50 odd Cov lads dotted around celebrated.
Tony Dobson v Banik Ostrava.
I’d love to see this goal again just to see if it is how I remember it or whether mentally I’ve made it a much better goal in my head that it actually was.
My son's first away gameMy lad and I went to that. Amazing game.
Legend!
Beat me to it!Probably should have another thread for WTF Brazil goals
Closer! Fk me, he's just past the halfway lineLegend!
He took it at little closer than I remembered but still a cracking goal!!!
George Hudson's in the sixties back to goal flicked it over Tony Knapp ran round him and headed over their advancing keeper.
the official FA one with Jonathan Pearce is as good if not better. He just loses it, screams 'Haji WRIGHT!'. Have a watch if you've not seen it.
Closer! Fk me, he's just past the halfway line
Nuddy v Villa was quality. I'm somewhere in that celebration in the bottom of the kop.
Oh and Nuddy in the cup away v West Brom was just ridiculous. Was stood in the remaining wedge of terrace in the corner and had just about got my breath back celebrating Dion's equaliser a few minutes earlier.
In fact think that's my only visit to the Hawthorns, ahead of going a week Sat...
Including the MOTD cameraman.I'm a bit surprised no-one's mentioned Ernie's donkey-kick goal v Everton. Bit early for most of you
Not in the same league.
Ndlovu v Norwich, with the little shimmy, and his goal cutting in from the right and smashing it top corner v Wimbledon, my two favourites.
My favourite ever player…as I’m sure he is for many.Big Cyrille's headed winner in the 4-3 league win against Spurs. Or his run and thunderbolt finish against Sheffield Weds(?) in the cup.
Now I think of it, did Regis ever score anything except gorgeous goals?
Man, I miss big Cyrille. One in a million.
It was a great moment that, understated really.Dark horse for me would be McFadz against Notts Forest - first game back at the CBS after Covid if I remember correctly?
Was 1-1 and he scored the winner in the 90+5, started the run where we were scoring last min goals every week
Edit: I just watched the highlights back. I forgot how good Sheaf was at his best...
The place was bouncing! It was a great moment that, understated really.
Mad to think that it's nearly 5 years ago now. Not a single player on the pitch that day is with the club now. Forest got promoted that season as well.
No the one I like was at HR. 93/94 I think.Loved the goal v Norwich, that was where he put Bryan Gunn on his arse before rolling it in the net. The Wimbledon one, was that the fancy dress pitch invasion game?
A month after they beat us in the LC Semi. Shame we couldn't swap the results! Most people remember Speedie's chip at Norwich (if they followed the club at the time), but this one was a beauty, too.
Couple of other things about game that make it memorable for me; it was the first time I saw us win away from home, and Forest started with Currie and Rice up front for them.
Even the Main Stand were singing "Are you watching Gregory"Also, Robbie Keane's goals in his debut game against Derby. And later against Villa.
Because why would you spend six million on a teenager, eh John Gregory...
There was considerably more space on the terrace for this one.A month after they beat us in the LC Semi. Shame we couldn't swap the results!
Me too, am quite relieved someone else had same thoughtI read that as Liam Daish!

The Thomas goal. Purely because for many it was the first time at wembley and it was, without doubt, the worst squad we have had in my lifetime, and yet we won. The rest from that day onwards is what led us to top the championahip for 127 days.Assuming “favourite” is different to “best”…
I cant choose between 2…
1. George Thomas at Wembley - first time there, didn’t think I’d ever see us lift a trophy at Wembley.
2. Biamou vs Notts County to go 3-1 up. - I think Notts had just had an equaliser ruled out. All felt very precarious and then that went in and it was just the best party in the stands from then on.
Non-Cov would be Aguero v QPR just for the pure drama. Never see anything like that again.
Which was a rhetorical question.Even the Main Stand were singing "Are you watching Gregory"... was Deafening
