Personal one, wasn't even the best he scored for us but Biamou bicycle kick Vs Cheltenham when we pumped them 1-6. I had snuck in the home end, had kept it fairly incognito but when he pulled that off me and about 50 odd Cov lads dotted around celebrated.

My lad and I went to that. Amazing game.

Tony Dobson v Banik Ostrava.

I’d love to see this goal again just to see if it is how I remember it or whether mentally I’ve made it a much better goal in my head that it actually was.

Tommy Hutchison at Arsenal. Weaved his way through half the team and was wearing a couple of defenders around his neck when he finished.

Houchen's header in the 87 cup final but that Paterson volley against Portsmouth last season was quite something too

Closer! Fk me, he's just past the halfway line

Nuddy v Villa was quality. I'm somewhere in that celebration in the bottom of the kop.

Oh and Nuddy in the cup away v West Brom was just ridiculous. Was stood in the remaining wedge of terrace in the corner and had just about got my breath back celebrating Dion's equaliser a few minutes earlier.

In fact think that's my only visit to the Hawthorns, ahead of going a week Sat...

Tony Knapp, is that the same Tony Knapp we signed, made his debut away to Chelsea, game finished 0.0

Remember it well as we were there that day.

Most people remember Speedie's chip at Norwich (if they followed the club at the time), but this one was a beauty, too.

Couple of other things about game that make it memorable for me; it was the first time I saw us win away from home, and Forest started with Currie and Rice up front for them.

Loved the goal v Norwich, that was where he put Bryan Gunn on his arse before rolling it in the net. The Wimbledon one, was that the fancy dress pitch invasion game?

Big Cyrille's headed winner in the 4-3 league win against Spurs. Or his run and thunderbolt finish against Sheffield Weds(?) in the cup.

Now I think of it, did Regis ever score anything except gorgeous goals?

Man, I miss big Cyrille. One in a million.

Also, Robbie Keane's goals in his debut game against Derby. And later against Villa.

Because why would you spend six million on a teenager, eh John Gregory...

My favourite ever player…as I’m sure he is for many.
I met him once in London and had quite a good long chat with him. He was a gent.

Dark horse for me would be McFadz against Notts Forest - first game back at the CBS after Covid if I remember correctly?

Was 1-1 and he scored the winner in the 90+5, started the run where we were scoring last min goals every week

Edit: I just watched the highlights back. I forgot how good Sheaf was at his best...

It was a great moment that, understated really.

Mad to think that it's nearly 5 years ago now. Not a single player on the pitch that day is with the club now. Forest got promoted that season as well.

The place was bouncing!
Went in the casino afterwards and met a bloke and his lad, who’d bought his Forest supporting mate along too.
Poor lad. The dad wasn’t half giving him some stick.

Not my favourite (and I can’t actually find it) but haven’t seen Jamie Allen’s goal against Bristol Rovers (I think). Where we made about 112 consecutive passes in the build up.

Some great goals in the Checkatrade and League Two Play Off final games at Wembley as well.
The George Thomas and Jack Grimmer goals especially

I would nominate the Moussa goal at Preston but I missed it after leaving the game early in disgust with Preston's anti football

Assuming “favourite” is different to “best”…

I cant choose between 2…

1. George Thomas at Wembley - first time there, didn’t think I’d ever see us lift a trophy at Wembley.

2. Biamou vs Notts County to go 3-1 up. - I think Notts had just had an equaliser ruled out. All felt very precarious and then that went in and it was just the best party in the stands from then on.

Non-Cov would be Aguero v QPR just for the pure drama. Never see anything like that again.

The Thomas goal. Purely because for many it was the first time at wembley and it was, without doubt, the worst squad we have had in my lifetime, and yet we won. The rest from that day onwards is what led us to top the championahip for 127 days.

Which was a rhetorical question.

Because he was watching.
