Used to love the Parson's Nose for late night chips after going to a gig/beer in town.

If you had a trophy for the best ever chip shop in Coventry the winner in my opinion would be Fishy Moores. It was so popular there were queues of people especially on a Saturday. You have to be a certain age though to know how tasty the fish and chips were !

No - they were the most disgusting chips in the world, and only slightly worse than that one which was in the Burges

Yes I got food poisoning once from there. The burgess one was the chick King I believe and yes of a similar "quality" - never bothered again after that I was ill for a week.

Does anyone know what's happening with the chip shop in Broomfield Road, Earlsdon, formerly known as "Catch of the Day"?

Is there any sign of it reopening under new owners?
