I believe we have had a few in the academy over the years but never seemed to make it.

Micky Adams and Micky Doyle? I know he didn't score (only made 35-40 apps) but to keep the same theme going how about Gordon Strachan and Paul Telfer.

Talking of this did anyone see Essien's interview at the start of the season? When asked what the lads call Jose he replied "Most call him gaffer ect but I call him Daddy"!

I remember going to a charity match at the Alvis where ex city players were playing when they announced Cyril Regis we didn't recognise him it turned out he was injured. and it was his Son who was playing not a bad player scored a couple of goals .

These two are the most realistic qualifiers:

Ted Roberts
(1936-1952) - 86 league goals in 212 games

Dudley Roberts
(1963-1968) - 6 goals in 12 games
