The January transfer window is almost upon us. There will be arrivals and inevitably, departures. So for this weeks Cook's Question, i want to know which Sky Blues player you want to see leave in January, or at least, who you think will leave. Please note, i'm looking for 1 player and why, so if you have more than 1 on your mind, who is the more likely to happen? You still have time to enter this week's competition. The thread is still open so take a look and get involved. Thanks for your support, enjoy the show and of course, play up sky blues

Going to surprise you and say John Fleck as long as another midfielder is brought in. Out of contract soon so a bit of a fee will be a bonus although he has played well this season I feel he is at his level and prone to mistakes Bigiriama for the rest of the season and a fully fit Joe Cole are more than adequate to replace him.

You might be right. He's done well this season, teams will have been looking at him for sure and with his contract up soon the club might feel it is time to cash in.

We'd have to have faith in TM to replace him though.

Could it be Bigi was brought in with that in mind, that Fleck could be off?

For once RB, I don't agree. Fleck does have the odd bad game, but when he does, the team is off too. He's vital for our promotion push. I would free up one of the fringe players who has little game time. Tudgay seems out of favour with TM, so he gets my vote. Will be on decent wages too.

Is/should TM building for the Championship next year? I think it is on.

Fleck is said to very important to the way the team plays though.

Want to leave and expect to leave are two different things. Expect - sadly this will be Armstrong. Want = no one really, if Cole isnt fit and we could use that 'spot' for someone else of more impact then maybe that would be the solution. Conor Thomas maybe?? When Maddison fully returns it would put a different complection on our mid to attacking options.

I would keep Flecky at all costs, with Vincelot he has found a good mix in the centre of the park

I would like to see Phillips go out on a 5 month loan to a league 2 side.

Don't get me wrong I am happy for Fleck to stay and play, was just thinking outside the box answering the OP. I can't see Bigirama being a bit part player if he stays and can't see where he would fit in other than the Fleck slot unless TM goes something like 4-3-3. All good fun being a closet manager as I know I am better than the current one !!

I don't want Fleck to go either, but am just second guessing what might happen.

If there's interest in Fleck and he wants more money it could well happen.

Rumour in the pub on Sunday was that Hull are looking at Fleck in January. I'm hoping that we are trying to tie him down to a longer contract right now.

Connor Thomas, Elford-Alliyu, Cole & Finch could move on or be released in Jan and I wouldn't be to bothered.

Fleck because 'it's out of our hands', or so I'm led to believe.

If we're still in an automatic position mid-Jan, I'd be inclined to keep Fleck and let his contract run down. Ok, we might miss out on a small fee, but keeping the core of this team together , having our best chance of promotion for years, I think we need that stability and drive we have had so far - shame to risk it going balls-up for maybe £250k fee. Success will be worth 10x that.

You reckon that's all we'd get then? I would be Inclined to let his contract run down too then if that was the case.

Finch as he will not get anywhere near the first team.

Inwards, possibly a goalkeeper, the thought of penalty shoot outs if we don't make autos scares me with what we have
Maybe that could be a later decision than January.
If we were drawing at Wembley in ET with five to go I'd currently bring on Burge for those duties.

We could do with a keeper. Cook and Burge are too inconsistent, but we need to keep both until a new lad arrives

Be disappointing if Fleck goes, his career was only going one way before Pressley and now Mowbray have given him a chance.

We need a goal-keeper more than anything else! We need a replacement for Armstrong if he is going. We also need many, many more goals from midfield.

I could not agree LESS! Fleck for me has been our player of the year, any intelligent football head would know that, it is why every manager has built a team around the guy since we've had him, he is a class above many of our players in terms of technicality and he allows the players ahead to have freedom

The money we would get for Fleck just wouldn't be worth the benefit of keeping him until the end of the season. My understanding is that as a young player we would get a fee from him leaving either way...

The reality is, he probably wants to play at a higher level, so why not keep him for the push and offer him the improved deal he wants if we get promotion... the gamble has to be worth more to us than a few hundred k's surely!

I think we promised Rangers a decent sell on fee so selling him might not be so attractive

We need to do everything in our power to keep john fleck him and vincelot have been absolute stand out for us this season especially our contracted players ! You won't replace him in this league no chance his vision for a pass is second to none! For me he would be fine in the championship give him a 3 year deal!!

Fleck is a possibility; hopefully he'll stop on. I can't see anyone else garnering much interest apart from Maddison, again. The usual shite rumours will be abound.

Fleck will be difficult to replace, offer him a tempting extension because any offers we get for him will be paltry, imo.

Calling it now: If Fleck goes, we won't go up. He's that integral to how we play.

David Pleat has scouted James Maddison on at least 3 occasions on behalf of Spurs.

Inevitably, if he remains fit, Maddison is destined for a much higher level, probably The Premier League.

Only speculating but would it not be an ideal scenario that in early January, we accept around £3million, maybe more for our brightest home grown prospect, providing of course that Spurs loan him back to us for the remainder of this season, and if promoted to the first tier of the rebranded EFL, that Spurs further extend that loan us.

Even the loan back agreement did not extend beyond this season , what financial injection could be afforded Tony Mowbray in his quest to wrest us finally from the jaws of League one.

Only saying!

Would like Ryan Kent to be sent back to Liverpool, has had some magic moments with us and now had a taste of men's football, definitely one for the future who I'm sure will figure in Liverpools first team in the next couple of seasons, but wouldn't rate him ahead of Maddison who now needs to be thrust back into action and win us the league

Alwaya good to have options

Yep, that's a fairly feasible scenario...it's 50/50 for me, if it occurs this season. Spurs do seem keen.

I just hope we don't accept any old bid for him, whoever wants him and wants him badly enough, make them pay 4-5 million for him.
