Got ridiculed for backing Max when JCH first came in. I still stand by the fact that we play better as a team with Max than JCH. He’s more effective, better link up play and can score the impossible. I wonder if a few of the people that were laughing at me on that thread can now see what I saw.
I thought JCH was the far superior player when he came on. Kept the ball well, won every header, defensive and offensive, and had a great first touch.szz
Really really pleased for Biamou - he absolutely deserves it.
I didn’t think Max was any good, not enough goals per game ratio etc but having seen him a few more times his contribution and graft really help us out. Now he is finding the net too he is proving many people wrong me being one.

We play better when he’s in the team. I’ve slated him for not scoring enough goals. Over the season he still hasn’t scored enough but I still love him anyway.
I agree we play better with Max in the team. There’s something about him I really like. His effort, his heart, his smile. Players often become cult heroes without being the best player, or without an obvious reason. There is just a connection between the player and the fans and you feel it. Like when Max came over and showed us his MOTM trophy last night. It was like he was sharing it with us and we loved it. God, I enjoyed last night.
