Randomly was just reading up on this as just heard it mentioned on the Socially Distanced Pod.
It is always going to be hard to recreate a programme which has a bit of a cult status with a certain genre of people and to commission 18 episodes is definitely a gamble but I’ll be giving it a watch.
I like Elis James and have to admit very surprised Matt Lucas is on it. My initial thought though was that it would be him and someone like Matt Forde but guess we’ll see how it goes.
Sounds absolutely awful TBH. Can’t stand Matt Lucas as either a comedian or a person and never heard of the other bloke. Plus it’s a Sky remake which always means low quality.
I got to be honest I’m a big fan of the socially distant sports bar and the down the clubhouse series . I think Elis James is quality in both, looking forward to this
