I'd politely suggest both 'sides' are so busy trying to score cheap points off each other, the very thought of organising a joined up protest has gone over everybody's heads and the chance has been lost.

Next 'home' game 25th august against Preston Coventry City ladies Fc will be playing their first game of their season at the Ricoh. If they had a bigger attendance than sixfields that would send a message to our illustrious owners

The fans are all split and not working together as one group effectively having much less power. Simple really people are not prepared to put there differences to one side. Going round in circles over and over again.

Its not the fans fault we are where we are, it's Sisu who have split us by taking us out of Coventry.
Divide and conquer is their plan.

You keep proving my point, so I keep demonstrating it.

Call me old fashioned, but I either engage with people or ignore them, not rant on about something entirely different.

Actually on this point I agree with you, I genuinely believe that Coventry City Football Club will not be playing at the Ricoh whilst SISU are owners. Joy will remain as stubborn as ever with her alleged demands for the Ricoh freehold at her price, and just ignore the fans. She'll probably die of old age long before we get to see a game in our home again, if SISU don't go.

You are absolutely correct. This has now got too personal for any compromise.

I will not be going to Sixfields, and I dont know why anyone would.

I would hope that anyone going is going to stage some kind of protest.. ie; SISI OUT t-shirts... or banners.
Just cant quite understand how you can be fine with everything that is going on... Ive been going to games since i was 7 in 2001.. First game a 2-0 win at home to Sheffield Wednesday, Youseff Safri and Lee Hughes with the goals.. Every season has been worse.

I live in nottingham, hard enoough for me to get to home games as it is, but will try my hardest to get to away games!

Talking to both a Forest fan and a Middlesbrough fan today, both said that what has happened is a disgrace and they would not be attending 'home' games if their c;ub had been moved 35 miles.

I'm not going to Sicfields for one main reason, it's 30+ miles away, that a round journey of 70+ miles.

I don't do away games and this season all of city's games are away. Simples.

SISU have ignored the fans and taken the club away from the city, everything they say is lies and those going to sicfields today will come to realise it soon enough.

Boy: But dad you said that there would be more people

Dad: I know son, let's just make the best of it, look on the bright side, at least we got to choose our own seat

Boy: and you said it would be sunny

Dad: I know son, let's just make the best of it, look on the bright side, it will be like camping in six fields

Boy: and you said it wasn't too far to travel

Dad: I know son, let's just make the best of it, look on the bright side, it's only once every two weeks

Boy: and you said this stadium is not too bad

Dad: I know son, let's just make the best of it, look on the bright side, it's only once every two weeks for the next three years

Boy: Can we go home now?

Dad: Yes son, home is where we should be.

Another point Grendel seems to miss !!!!
Today sends out a message to prospective owners that if they unite club and stadium we will turn up in numbers again !!!!
How would we send out that message by boycotting the Ricoh ?

If there is no change in the situation I suggest we get up to the Ricoh for that CCFC ladies game in a week or so. Keep the momentum going.
See you all at the Ricoh this afternoon. Just be there, your club needs you.

Going to Sixfields is wrong. Imagine if not one single City supporter went! SISU and the Football League would look ridiculous!!!

It's a shame that there are still some who can't see the bigger picture. SISU have to go, and need to be forced. There is no future under their ownership; and there are owners out there such as Haskell that can unite the stadium with the club and make us successful.

If you are going to Northampton today, please stop and think about how you think this is helping.

We need the club back at the Ricoh. Attendance tomorrow will not help. Both sides are culpable and both need equal abuse and disdain.

Ok at least not pro SISU. I walked away a couple of years ago pissed off about the complete mis management of the club and believing the Ricoh was a mill stone around our necks. My thinking was then we had to get out of the souless warehouse.

Roll on the last couple of years, ironically it now seems the one thing most likely to save the club is the Ricoh, and that which SISU are most desperate to get their hands on.

The stadium dosent belong to the club, it was paid for by a collective of guardian angels, because the club management spun the dice once too often. They are not going to simply take a loss when the club (owners) decides it wants to take back the stadium.

So the claims made against both sides

The ACL are culpable through:
- holding the rent at an unsustainable level for too long
They had no real choice as they had to meet they're own debt repayments. The duty of shareholders is to do the best they can for their shareholders (company law). The club and the fans are not shareholders, this should never been allowed in the first place, but we are where we are.

Things changed when they ACL were able to access more favourable financing, CCC protecting their assets yes, but also protecting a charity and the population of the city (not all of who are Sky Blues)

- refusing to negotiate with SISU
Yes it originally pissed me off, but the judges comments in the judical review make this more understandable.

Ultimately SISU made it impossible for a partnership with the ACL to work, whilst failing to invest in the team.

So why would they do this:
- Their business model is to unlock value by deconstructing assets
- Using as little of their own cash as possible to achieve their goals (they are not cash rich, asset rich may be, but unlikely to have liquid reserves), "leveraged finance"
- using litigation to weaken targets.

So you need to understand what is the asset, originally we blindly thought it was the club and premier league football, reality its the commercial land opportunities. I not sure this was the original intent for Ranson's vision, but they certainly shifted quickly to their default business model.

The gamble of Premier league is too uncertain for financial investors, the prize is the Ricoh.

Problem is i don't understand where SISU go from here, they've no assets in the club, its not a marketable investment. I can only see them running aground again and soon.

Bottom line is you don't need to support the ACL, but fans should be active in not supporting SISU. If we're agreed on not supporting SISU we're a lot closer in our goals than many on here would want to believe.

Good point, today's statement shows what can be on offer to a potential genuine owner who as the fans behind them .

Going to Ricoh this afternoon.
Got to admit I don't think I'll be entertained by it all.
But its the principle of the thing, the occasion, the charities, the walk
I hope I'm wrong but I can always leave early

100% behind you.
We need to keep fans going to the Ricoh to any event, especially when our team are at home/away
