My pub has just got a positive write up in a monthly magazine - first sentence is "welcome to Coventry". I am awaiting the "Ansturm" of customers ;-). I think I may have to change the pub theme to Northampton soon though.

no that's not what the scg do they sort the jsb stand out,and work on how they can make fans experience better, they also bring up upcoming problems, like the north stand, which was fair play.they also talk about players and on field matters, they don't play the blame game like you are saying, don't get me wrong i don't think they are doing much to solve our problem but they are helping the club continue to please the remaining home fans which i do agree with !!! #pusb !!!

Nice to see ML is listening and not following that rather pointless avenue.

So, you'd rather place blame about past events than know what the future of our club is?

Nice to know where your priorities lie.

If we're not going to be told:

- The long term plan for our club
- The location of the new stadium
- The ownership arrangements for our new stadium

Then there's really no point. And if we are going to learn those things, frankly it'd be better done as a press release, though the opportunity to ask clarifying questions about the more detailed financial questions would be nice.

Of course, all this is forgetting that ML offered the detailed financial forum as a reason why he didn't answer the question asked on CWR. I assume if he's now called it off, next time he'll be happy to answer?

Being arranged by Tony Blair's spin doctor!
Will Joy be there?
Will Lucus, Mutton & Mcguigan be there?
Will Paul Fletcher be there?
Will Richardson, Robinson & Mcginnity be there?
Will PKH be there?
Will Ranson be there?
Will Appleton be there?
Will head of FL & scum Foxes fan be there?
Not too bothered about the chuckle brothers, Elliott & Hoffman!?
Otherwise, what's the point?

Would have thought it would be free with CTK pocketing drinks money from 300 people.
Where does the ticket money go?

Can't be bothered about hearing, "sorry can't discuss that due to confidentiality clause" or " the new stadium will be in this universe"

Find that quite outrageous if correct. Unless it is going to a charity.
Would CTK really charge for the hire of the room by 300 Cov fans.
They are set to make a tidy profit from the bar surely

The profits from food and beer at the social club go to the committee so CTK FC are moving to Sphinx where they will also get no money from food and drinks

Also I reckon if the football club produced a successful team they probably would get 20k ,then they may get to use the facility for free as well if the owners got the beer money

Surprised at that, I would have thought more people would have been in favour of the current financial situation being explained rather than going over things from years ago that have no impact on us moving forward. That was certainly the impression I got from posts on here.

Personally I would welcome ML fully explaining the situation regarding the last set of accounts submitted and how the finance of the club will work moving forward with regard to the low revenue streams as a result of the move to Sixfields and the cost of building a new stadium. Whilst it is unlikely to reveal much good news at least we may get some clarity.

Not sure how a forum with everyone they can round up going over what happened years ago is going to help. I'm sure if SISU had a 'smoking gun' or information that would sway opinion they would have little problem getting it out in public, even if via unofficial channels. To me it just seems to be an exercise designed to distract from the more important issues.

Hand Picked Fans In Say What Suits Sisu Shocker!

And this is why you don't have secret forums. Fucking amateurs.

The business case going forward is the main thing that needs discussion. Where is the money coming from and how much goes out to finance borrowings has to balance in such a way that the club can realistically have a chance of getting back to the premiership one day.

My own opinion is that going ahead with SISU will leave the club in the doldrums for decades, they have to write off the losses and let someone else try.

There is also the important matter of when the shambles at Nothampton will end.. till that ends SISU can forget 90% of the former support.

Basically we need to make it clear that Sisu have 0 trust and have shown 0 business acumen, so if we're going to lend them our backing we really need to know what's different.

How will we compete on wages? What if we get relegated in the mean time? What's the plan, we don't want to be caught out again. What's the plan for keeping fans engaged?

That last one is the important one for me. They're STILL not trying to get fans back, instead still using us in a game with the council that frankly only about 3 people care about any more.No more mudslinging, start building credibility with the fans.

After all this is basically a business holding a meeting to beg it's customers to come back. If they're not on their knees, I'd at least like flowers and chocolates.

So a forum has apparently been organised by the club, and yet it doesn't warrant a single mention about it on the club's official website. No mention of who is chairing or hosting it, no mention of who the club is sending, whether Joy is going to make an appearance,or what the format is going to be. Presently this has all the makings of a complete shambles. A top table of 15 chairs of which probably 12 are going to be empty.

The issue with that, is that they will tell you that going forward it is a new stadium.
When you find yourself not convinced that that is actually true. Then you end up trying to prove that that is not true.
The only way a business case can be made for a new stadium, is if there is no alternative.
Then you begin a debate about there been an alternative.
By the time you have satisfied yourself there is an alternative and it is the most viable option. You do not spend as much time on the interstices of the new stadium plan. You spend more time proving the Ricoh is the only option.

Hope that makes sense

Your quality of debating appears to be reaching new depths. Isn't this all slightly embarrasing now?
