I sold Simon Weston a really disgusting Christmas jumper. Bright yellow wool, with red christmas trees.

Barged Neil Kinnock out of the way when going through a door. He took it well and is very short.

Played pool regularly against Spider from Coronation Street, who drank in my local... as did Peter Crouch and one of the Chuckle Brothers (Barry?)

The guitarist(?) from Steel Pulse bought my car a few years back.

Some bloke from the Antiques Roadshow turned up at work.

Peter Ndlovu strutted through town - everyone ignored him.

Author Jim Crace came to do a talk to an audience of me (the work presence), the bloke who used to take his clothes off in public (thankfully kept them on) and a couple from Worcestershire.

I bought Arthur Pendragon a pint.

Some presenter of a consumer affairs programme waved furiously to stop me getting in the way as they were filming a segment. Sod it, they were filming outside my front door and I needed a shit.

Sat next to Glenn Hoddle and his daughters in Rome while he was having a pizza. We ignored him and spoke about him under our breath.

Went for a job interview in London, had some time to spare so decided to buy a newspaper. Thought the queue was long but hey, this is London right? Turned out was in the queue to have Alex Ferguson sign his autobography. He didn't want to sign my newspaper, nor take the cash for it. I didn't want his autobiography.

Edwina Currie sat bored and accidentally scared an old woman. We fed her sandwiches.

This will age me but I one saw Frankie Vaughan in Coventry town center ("Who the hell's Frankie Vaughan?", I hear you say).
He was appearing at the Hippodrome (as it was then) at the time.
I also used to see Basil Heatley, the runner going on training runs up and down Sewall Highway.
He won the marathon silver medal at the 1964 Toyko Olympics (behind Abebe Bikila).

Curly Watts, Kevin Webster and Terry Duckworth used to be regulars in Emmalines in Rugby in the early 80's got Curly to sign my fag packet. Bumped into Madge Bishop from neighbours in a lift in Covent Garden tube station. Appeared on the Graham Norton show on Channel 4 and met Joan Rivers.

Troy! Lovely fella!

EDIT: This has reminded me of a life step. Was doing a bit goafering for Alstar in WSB when I was younger. We were sat in the hospitality unit when a group of fans walked up asking for photos and autographs. Troy stood up said “hold this” and dumped Kelisa (his baby daughter) into my arms. I must’ve sat there for well over an hour with her. That was the first time I ever changed a nappy!

Bloody Hell! How could I forget! I was asked (many moons ago) to be a guest on "Central Weekend Live", the debate programme that went out from about 10pm - midnight on a Friday. In the 'Green Room', I met and chatted to John McVicar (gangster), Edwin Starr (singer), Nicky Campbell (TV host), Eamon Holmes (TV host) and Nina Myskow (TV critic and bitch!). Had a great time. Free food and booze! John McVicar actually came over to me and asked if he could chat to me. I was quite honoured until he said that he just wanted to get away from Nina Myskow! I still have the recording of the show somewhere......

Chap I used to work with went to school with Bono - hard to beat that one really (although he wasn't famous then, so doesn't count)

Years ago, I was sort of classed as an "expert" on the life and times of John Lennon. "CWL" were going to do a live link-up with a bloke that had written a book, defaming Lennon and Elvis among others. I was asked along to give my input. Myskow and Edwin Starr were there for that part of the show and John McVicar was there because they also had 3 or 4 so-called "hard-case" gang members on, talking about youth culture and such-like. He ran rings round them verbally!

I know who you mean, Geoffrey Hughes. Played Onslow in 'Keeping up Appearances'. He was made High Sherriff of the island for a while, although gawd knows what his duties were! Never bumped into him, but often saw Kenneth Kendal (ex-BBC news reader). He had an art shop in Cowes. He used to belt around Cowes on a mobility scooter, not bothering who was in his way! He died a few years ago.

Geoffrey Hughes - that's him!
The comedian Stephen Frost lives there as well. I saw him in a pub I think was his local. Down a secluded country lane and situated right on a river which I think was an estuary. Cracking pub.

I can’t ever recall anyone say a bad thing about him. Same goes for Bayliss. Now Foggy on the other hand!

Brendan Cole from Strictly Come Dancing crashed my wedding in Mallorca last year.

He was actually really friendly with all our guests and had about 20 photos taken.

Got a few others but doubt much will beat that!
